What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT THIS STOVE/RANGE Needed a new stove and after looking a long time, bought this one about 2 years ago. I have mixed feelings about the purchase and probably would not buy it again if I had the chance. I hate the stainless and it is impossible to keep the finger prints and spots cleaned up. I accidentally dropped a skillet and the blue interior got a chip and I have been unsuccessful in finding some touch up paint to cover it. The knobs to regulate the level of heat for the burners, takes a long time to turn up/down as you have to press it until it flips through the numbers. On the plus side, I enjoy the alert sounds, the cleaning features are wonderful (as compared to this old lady's earlier ovens), I do like the warming burner for later eaters, the price was good for what you get. I don't use the convection as I am accustomed to the regular baking and it doesn't make much difference to me. I do use the proof a lot as I bake a lot of bread and raised foods so in this cool climate, it is very handy. I also use it to start my kefir going more quickly. The stove is pretty. If I were to get a new one, I would not get stainless, however. I hope this review after 2 years of use, is helpful to shoppers. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features except one This is a great range except for one minor flaw. Wanted to remove the storage drawer to clean under it and couldn't. Speaking with c/s didn't help and was told I needed a service call. Finally started reading questions and answers on LG website regarding this model and it stated that this drawer was not designed to be removed. This should have been stated in the manual.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't buy for the convection oven Replaced our previous range with this supposed convection oven. Our old standard oven had more even baking than this does. It is loud (clicking and fan) and doesn't deliver what was promised. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have used this stove for 6 months and it is great. No issues with regular bake or convection. Stove top heats up fast and as pre a glass top it does hold the heat for awhile. Lots of oven space. Purchased this prior to remodeling our kitchen which we are just about done with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have had this oven range for a couple weeks now, and it works great. The convection isn't loud, but have not used it enough to give an honest review of it's ability. Functions are great. Overall, we like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I bought this range for the convection and proofing features as well as the smooth top, all of which work great, but there are so many other great features. I also love the blue oven interior that lets you see when it needs cleaning as opposed to just a black hole. The quick clean cycle makes oven cleaning a breeze! Love it! I don't think I have ever had such a clean oven before. Alarms are not just beeps but short tunes that even my hard-of-hearing husband can hear! Oven temp can be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Cook time is another great feature where the oven shuts itself off once the time runs out. I really love my new range, and the price was right, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Single Dad Just installed had to modify my custom cabinets had a original 70s vintage slide in. Oven color I love but then blue is my favorite. The oven light is brightest I have seen. Have used the range top some seems a little slow to heat compared to my old unit. I am learning to adjust my cooling like I did when I switched from gas to electric. Gas doesn't work at Time will tell on the rest.

Why does a burner set on high not STAY on high? Use front burner supposed to be for fast heating; you can see the burner go dim, repeatedly. If move pan around, it will get red again. Takes forever to boilappens various sized cookware, both burner sizes.

Asked by: JLBM
With the unit being electric, the burners will cycle on to heat the pan to the desired temp and turn down until the pan's temp drops. This would be considered normal operation.

While cooking on the range the display keeps flashing  on saying to set the time when it is already set.

My LG stove has the blue interior. After cleaning there is still baked on stuff. May I use a foam oven cleaner to get the spots off?

Asked by: Zanne
We appreciate your interest in this electric range. Ensure that no abrasive cleaners are used, as this could permanently damage the interior of the oven. The SELF CLEAN feature may be able to prevent the need for such cleaners. For additional information on this feature, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Is this an 'energy star' rated appliance?

Can you use cast iron skillets on this range

Asked by: Khilbun
There isn't any specific type of cookware that should only be used with the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean®, Model # LRE3083ST. The burners on the cooktop are radiant burners and not induction which requires a specific type of cookware. Any cookware can be used and some cookware will take longer to cook or give you inconsistent results. Stainless Steel is recommended, but as long as the pans have flat bottoms and are not oversized or undersized for the burner they are used on, there shouldn't be any issues. You cannot use round bottom woks, rippled bottom cookware or oversized canners and griddles. The base of the cookware should not be more than 1 inch larger than the element. If using iron skillets, be sure not to drag the skillets across the cooktop which will scratch the cooktop surface...^IFV
