What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far loving it Its not taking me too long to figure out how to cook on the glass top. And I really don't find it too difficult to keep clean. Once its cold I use a soft paper towel to wipe up and then I use the polish with a soft cloth, so its staying looking nice. I don't mind doing the polish, its a lot easier than trying to clean under a coil. Still trying to figure out how to use the convection oven but I don't use my oven much anymore, I have a smaller counter top oven so I save a little more in power/heat bills. Hoping that the push buttons don't wear out. I would have gone to the front controls (above the Stove), but online comments scared me off. But being electric and finally touching other models they weren't bad. (The store didn't have a model on the floor with the knobs).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Stove/Oven We are new to "convection oven" cooking, however over the last couple of months we have really enjoyed this oven. It heats and cooks very evenly as well as saves some time. I thought I wouldn't like the "touch" buttons for the stove top but it works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS RANGE! We researched many ranges over the internet before we began shopping. We have only had this range a few weeks. It is a wonderful appliance. We love that we can use either standard or convection cooking in the oven. The interior of the oven is very roomy and the 3 racks allow for placement and cooking of several items at once. Definitely a plus for a busy family. The control panel is beautiful. There are no knobs to clean around or under. Very easy to set cooking temperatures for the burners. All the controls are clearly marked on the panel. The digital display is very easy to read. It guides you through the steps needed complete each task. Very easy to clean - great for us because we have a few messy cooks in the family. We wish the drawer was a little bigger, but trading a smaller drawer size for the larger capacity oven works for us.

Does this range come in a coil top electric? I am afraid of the ceramic tops. My daughter bought a high end glass top and was very careful but could not get some of the spills off. She bought the correct cleaners and scrubbers.

Asked by: Maril
The model number indicates what features and specifications are on a particular model and the only thing that will change is the color. The LG Black Stainless Steel Series 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean®, Model # LRE3083BD will only be available with a Glass Ceramic Cooktop...^IFV

What is the amp rating for this stove? Does it require 3 or 4 prong plug?

Asked by: PJack
The LG Black Stainless Steel Series 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean®, Model # LRE3083BD can be connected using either a 3 or 4-wire UL-listed range cord with close-looped terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends or similar termination. The Oven Range must be installed and grounded on a branch circuit by a qualified technician in accordance with the latest edition of the National Electrical Code No. 70 and should conform to local codes. A range cord rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum volt range is required. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 13/8" diameter connection openings. This appliance may be connected by means of a conduit or power cord. Some local codes prohibit grounding through the neutral conductor and for new branch circuit installation ( new buildings after January 1, 1996, Mobile Homes and Recreational vehicles) so you cannot use a 3-wire connection and would have to use a 4-wire connection. If you are not sure which one to use, you will need to check your local housing code or consult your local building inspector for further information...^IFV

My oven isn't holding temp. I baked cookies, set at 350 put them in and noticed they were taking longer than recipe said. When the next batch had been in for 6 min. I turned the oven off and set bake again it was at 315 degrees and went to preheat again.

Asked by: Kristinez
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this electric range. It is recommended to ensure that the baking temperature had been reached before the baked goods were placed into the oven. Anytime the CLEAR/OFF button is pressed, the oven will start a PRE-HEAT cycle whenever it is reactivated. This is normal operation.

Press the ON/OFF button that controls the element that you would like to use. Press the + button once to adjust the element temperature to Hi, or the – button once to adjust the element temperature to Lo. Use the – / + buttons to adjust the element temperature settings. The element temperature settings are adjustable at all times. To turn off the element after cooking, press the ON/ OFF button once.
