It also looks really sleek and neat. Temperature control once you get the hang of it is easy and accurate. Having the additional 5th burner for keeping things warm is an additional bonus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cooktop, but could have been better This cooktop heats fast and holds temperature nicely. Overall materials seem to be high quality, and all functions as advertised. Overall, this is a nice product. I have two issues with the cooktop. First, the aluminum front edge looks nice, at first. It is soft and easily scratched by moving pans over its surface. Even clean smooth bottom pans can and will scratch the surface. Ours looked well used after the first 30 days. Too bad for such a nice cooktop. Second, the controls are not intuitive. You must turn on the burner by touching the symbol, but the temperature controls are only in the center symbol. Everyone who uses this cooktop tries to adjust the burner on the symbol for that burner. How hard would it have been to put a temperature switch in each symbol? You could have turned on the burner and adjusted the temperature in one motion. Note, these are minor annoyances, and should not detract from a very good product at a value price.

It took me awhile to learn how to use the control panel for adjusting the heat, but have caught on with a little practice. It is also very easy to clean.

How high to I mount hood over this cook top

We appreciate your interest in this cooktop stove. A minimum of 30 inches should be available between the surface and the bottom of the vent hood. Any other measurement, exceeding this spacing, will depend upon the vent hood in use.

What are the best pots & pans that should be used with this cooktop?

The better the pot, the better the cooking results. You can recognize good pots and pans by their bases. The base should be as thick and flat as possible. Cookware must fully contact the surface of the cooking element. Use flat-bottomed pans sized to fit the cooking element and amount of food being prepared. Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the bottom of the cookware. Pots with aluminum or copper bases can cause metallic discoloring on the ceramic glass surface which is very difficult or impossible to remove. Additional suggestions can be found on pages 8-9 of the owner’s manual.

Can a radiant cook top be totally locked....if so how to unlock

According to the information listed on page 11 of the owner’s manual, the LSCE365ST has a CHILD LOCK button located on the right side of the control panel. Press this button and hold it down for 3 seconds to either Activate or Deactivate the controls.
