Grey Letters
It's a very good looking and functional microwave/convection oven. I would give it a 5 star rating, but you can't see the words on the panel since the letters are dark grey with no lighting. I would like to return it and wait until the next model comes out, if this is corrected. At this point, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great design
This microwave is slightly smaller than many others if you are space conscious. I love the glass touch buttons. The dial selection is a great design. The look is very modern and elegant. Has plenty of power for microwave and convection. Overall seems to be very good build quality.

Slick looking. Completes the functionality kitchen
This was the last item bought for our kitchen after we moved into our new house. Now that it's installed, its a wonder how we ever lived without it. Not that the microwave function is something we weren't used to, that works as it should on par with other past microwave oven. The total package is what I'm sold on, the lighting and vent fan while cooking, the extra real convection oven when the regular oven is in use and last but not least the looks. This thing stands out, catches your eye and completes the look of the kitchen. Well worth the extra money from a countertop microwave. Couldn't be happier.

Hi can this model be put in a wall/ cabinet situation.? And not use the venting functions .
As an Over-the-Range unit, the LG STUDIO - 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Convection Microwave Oven, Model # LSMC3086ST is designed to be installed above your range oven between your upper cabinets with a minimum opening width of 30" between the cabinets and a minimum of 30" between the bottom of the upper cabinets and the counter top or cooktop surface before the unit is installed which will be between 13-16" from the bottom of the microwave oven (actually 13.5625" or 13 9/16")...^IFV

What is the desired height from cook top to the bottom of microwave?
We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. The specifications require that the top of the microwave cabinet be 30” from the surface of the range.

I understand from reviews that the LG display is difficult to see on the microwave model LSMC3086ST. Is that true?
Yes, it is hard to see. You need a bright light overhead. Don't recommend it.

Can I mount in a cabinet instead of over the range?
The LG STUDIO- Over-the- Range Microwave Oven, Model # LSMC3086ST is designed to be installed over a range or cooktop and to fit under upper cabinets so it has a short power supply cord. It cannot be used with an extension cord. The unit also has a Cooktop light underneath it that is designed to illuminate the Countertop or cooktop underneath it and also has Grease filters that are designed to catch airborne greases that come off the cooktop surface. Regrettably, we can only advise you on its' installation as outlined in owner's manual...^IFV

What are the spec's for exhaust pipe ?
We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. The dimensions of the exhaust duct should be rectangular 3 1/4" x 10”, or the same sized rectangle-to-round adapter for a 6” minimum diameter round duct. This information is stated in the Installation Guide provided with the microwave.
