I am replacing my old cooktop with induction. I have a drawer under my present cooktop that I want to be able to use and it appears that will not be a problems with your induction cooktops since the cooktop box is shallow and vents to the back. Is that correct? Is there any differences between models LG LCE30845 vs LSCI307ST that I need to know when wanting to install over a drawer unit. I prefer the looks of the LSCI307ST

Yes, both vent to the back. According to the information on the system all the cooking zones of the LCE30845 have the warming function.

I like the look of this Studio Series model much better than LCE30845. Is it a replacement? I am hoping stores will be carrying it soon. I found one internet vendor that sells the Studio Series one but don't really want to order it online. Specifically I would like to buy from Sears if they will be getting it soon.

The manual states that only the supplied griddle should be used on the bridge element. What is the technical reason for this?
I have a cast iron griddle and cast iron dutch oven that I would like to use on the bridged elements.
