Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this product. Check to make sure that the bucket has been installed properly after the last time it was emptied. If it is properly in place, then the unit may be having a problem with the switch, or possibly some other related problem. This unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

It is very humid out currently and definitely in my basement. I didn't use the unit all winter. I plugged it in last week and it ran for a day and did not collect any water. I tried again and same result. What do I need to do to rectify the situation?

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this product. If the area is humid, and yet no moisture is being extracted, then there may be a problem with the sealed system. Check the unit to ensure that it has not frosted the coils. Otherwise, the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Dehumiifier is icing up. What can I do?

I have an LHD45ELT8 dehumidifier. It began form ice on the top above the controls. I cleaned the filter, but there is some dirt and dust on the heat exchanger. When I tested it, the entire heat exchanger iced up and formed a barrier to any air flow. How can I open this thing up to further clean it and do you know of anything else that could be wrong to cause it to ice up?

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dehumidifier. You may try cleaning the filter further, and possibly vacuuming the heat exchange coils. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service, as the casing is not designed to be opened further by the consumer. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
