Answer:
It should be flashing. The blue light means it is operating, and the green light means it's clean

Answer:
Yes it flashes until the cycle is done and then stays solid blue to signal the cycle is over. It should stay blue until you open dishwasher again :)

hybrid system - uses the heat from the wash/rinse cycles to begin drying. I run mine overnight, so the dishes are dry in the morning when I get up :)

No. But the dishes are dry when the cycle is ended. Never used heated dry on my old dishwasher so I don't miss it. Dishes seem drier than they were with my old dishwasher using unheated dry option.

Are the words in the buttons supposed to light up? Only the outline around the words light up. As an example, when pressing "Extra Dry" the outline illuminates but the words do not.

Answer:
I was told by my salesman at Home Depot that yes, the cycle would illuminate when the power was turned on. Mine does not and I am having a repair person from Home Depot come out to see why there is a problem and how to fix it. I cannot see the cycles and have to use a flashlight to choose one. I certainly hope he can fix it or the DW will go back.

Answer:
I have the same problem. They told me that none of the buttons light up until pushed. That doesn't seem right for the quality and price of the dishwasher. I have a hard time seeing the buttons. If they used a lighter background on the buttons they would be easier to read. OR lights behind them would really help before pushing them.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this dishwasher and its features. Once the cycle is complete, the CLEAN light will illuminate for 4 minutes. To keep the CLEAN light on until the door is open, turn the POWER on, and then press and hold the EXTRA DRY and HALF LOAD buttons on the control panel simultaneously until OFF or ON appears in the display. The dishwasher will remember this setting until manually changed.
