Count on it

When you buy a dishwasher, you want something reliable that you can count on. Because the Direct Drive Motor uses fewer moving parts and operates more efficiently, LG confidently backs the motor with a 10-year limited warranty.

Whisper-Quiet Operation

Whisper-Quiet Operation

LG's technological advances, like the Inverter DirectDrive motor and a hard food disposer system, were designed with quiet in mind. At 50dB, this dishwasher is among the quietest dishwashers in its class.

Get wise

It's unlikely you'll experience any problems with your LG dishwasher, but if you ever do, this feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a smart phone app, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls.

What People Are Saying

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 322 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome. The first dishwasher that my wife was completely happy with. Enough said. August 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent dishwasher! This is a good looking dishwasher with an easy to use control panel! It is extremely quiet gets my dishes sparkling clean! August 8, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very quiet / issue -Dishes staying upright & Stain Pro: Runs quiet and I like the flexibiliy in the racks. Cons: Plates have difficulty standing up and fall stacked on each other. There is a stain on the insided of the door - I have never seen that occur. It doesn't wipe off so I will attempt to use stain removal. It appears to be smaller / less capacity than our previous dishwasher. Overall, it does fine but I would not purchase again so I cannot recommend this product. July 31, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst dishwasher ever! This dishwasher is super quiet, and a chime sounds at the end of the cycle to let you know it's finished. The good features end there. The dishes don't get clean unless I completely wash them by hand before putting them in the dishwasher, even if the dishwasher is only half full. I have checked all the troubleshooting items and found none apply - my water temp and pressure are fine, water jet holes not blocked, dishes are loaded correctly, filters are not clogged, detergent is fine, etc. The photo in the manual shows 10 and 12 place settings loaded - there is NO WAY this dishwasher will even clean 5 place settings. Pots and pans?? Forget that! The silverware doesn't get clean regardless of how I place it in the baskets, and I have tried numerous brands of detergent, so that doesn't seem to be the reason. Nothing is dry at the end of the cycle, even though the rinse agent dispenser is full. My prior dishwasher was 20 years old when it broke - it cleaned 10 times better than this one until it broke and parts were not available. All in all I can't describe how disappointed I am with this dishwasher July 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great! It runs quietly and the dishes are always clean--best mark of a good appliance, we don't have to think about it June 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by don.t buy Pros it is very quiet, cleans well. That said,Cons: it takes over 2 hours to wash the dishes. Also I have pottery dishware, they are too wide fro the rack on the bottom. Top rack only works for mugs or low cups bowls, ,my water glasses are too tall to fit, I assumed all dishwashers had same depth for top rack NO! WHAT a let down . now i'm stuck with this stupid machine and still have to wash half my dishes. what a waist of money. What is worse when I complained at the store I BOUGHT THIS AT, THEY SAY oh WELL. July 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Doesn't clean the dishes very well I purchased this product because of the features. However, twice the dishes on the upper rack were not cleaned properly and I had to do them by hand. Quite disappointing. May 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet and efficient I have only had this dishwasher for a few weeks but am totally satisfied with the way it cleans dishes and is so very quiet. June 16, 2015

My tankless water heater needs a minimum flow rate of 0.4GPM to activate (heat up the water). When the dishwasher fills with water at what flow rate does this occur?

The Home Depot website says it does, Amazon.com says it does, the Best Buy website says it does not, and the LG website itself says it does. I just want to clarify. Thanks!

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dishwasher. The drying of the dishes is an automatic portion of the wash process on most cycles. A CYCLE OPTION chart is available on page 9 of your owner’s manual to suggest which settings allow for a full DRY cycle. If you have additional questions, or more specific information regarding the cycles in use, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for assistance.

The unit LDS504BB does not clean well unless we baby-sit the hot water and ensure that it is fully hot running when the washer is filling. We use the rinse aid and cascade platinum tablets. If we do not keep the water hot, we get incomplete cleaning and/or some film on the glasses. If we could have the unit upgraded to heat the water, it would work very well for us. Not concerned with the energy rating as clean dishes are preferable.
