Quiet Operation

Quiet Operation

LG's technological advances, like the Inverter DirectDrive motor and the advanced 3-stage filtration system, were designed with quiet in mind. At 44dB, this dishwasher is among the quietest dishwashers in its class.

It's unlikely you'll experience any problems with your LG dishwasher, but if you ever do, this feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a smart phone app, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls.

What People Are Saying

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Kind of disappointed We bought this for the low profile front but still having the third shelf in a small kitchen. Disappointed in the cleaning cycles. Normal takes 2 and a half hours! Everything plastic stays SOAKED and there is no 'clean' indicator. Also, the manual is horrible. It is meant for several different models and it is very difficult to find what applies to your model. When you do, only about 1/3 of the functionality is coved in the manual. August 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet operation. Love the low sound this model puts out. The racks are convenient. The controls are easy to understand. The unit looks good in the kitchen. I just hope the unit lasts a long time. July 30, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by quiet, but horrible design I couldn't fit my plates in my old dishwasher so I was excited when this arrived, with the adjustable rack. HOWEVER, when I set the plates in and push the rack in, they fall over, or roll to a new spot. Likewise with glasses, the sections are so oddly spaced and angled, that they fall over. And the cycles are ridiculously long. So I don't like it much. Bad choice on my part. Regret. July 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT DISH WASHER Very easy to use. Lot of room at the bottom rack for large pots and pans. Top shelf works great on knives etc March 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by VERY QUITE!!! I like the unit, very quite, but there are a few items I thought I'd like better. The top small rack is nearly worthless cause anything you put up there must be near flat or the spinning spray bar hits then and then nothing is cleaned, also the wine glass holders are a waste or time. Not sure I really like all the adjustable racks, as I thought I would, just too many options and I find them falling down a lot of times... To many crazy settings to be honest, none of them clean any better than my old cheap unit; it still all depends on how you load you machine... You load it all jammed up with food on the plates, then that's what comes out. Not finding any of the settings improving the quality of the wash and most wash settings are well over 2 hour washes... Rated 5 out of 5 by FULLY INTERGRATED DISHWASHER this product is so quiet, you have to check to see if it is on , my last dishwasher you could hear from anywhere in the house, works great, dishes are sparkly clean February 22, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not put together correctly I bought the precursor to this same dishwasher about 5 years ago. It broke down and I bought this model, because I liked the features of the first model. I like the updating of this model's features, with the exception of one part. The dishwasher has not been scaled correctly to remain inside the rack when it is pulled out for the loading of dishes. The rack flies out, and is difficult to re-enter. Also, the inside dividers that flip up and down, do not stay up and must be continually repositioned. The repairman told me "that's the way the new model is-there is nothing that can be done to fix it". I am waiting for this rack to fly out when it is filled with dishes. For the cost of the dishwasher it should be manufactured much better. February 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quietest Dishwasher Bought this dishwasher on sale and I love it. You don't even hear it when it's on. Love the third rack. Love all the space. Love all the features that my 10 yr old dishwasher didn't have. The pros of not having a heating element to dry the dishes is that I don't smell the metal burning. The cons of not having the element is that I need to sometimes wipe off some of the dishes. I'd rather add the extra dry time and dry off a few dishes, than smell the heating element ever again. Would definitely recommend this product! January 30, 2015

Musical Jingle at the end of the cycle

We have had this dishwasher about 1 year. At the end of each cycle, a musical jingle is played.

About a month ago, after the1st jingle is played, a 2nd different jingle starts playing about 10 minutes later. I have looked in the manual and I can't seem to find out what this means.

Can you help?

Answer:
Once the dishes are loaded, check the detergent and rinse aid levels. Turn on the dishwasher with the POWER button. Select your desired cycle and options. The dishwasher will start automatically, after a slight delay, when the door is closed and latched.
