Rated 5 out of 5 by deecee My LG Dryer
I LOVE my LG dryer!!!! I got it a while ago and unfortunately, when hurricane Irene hit us in August, water got inside all of my appliances. They were all ruined :(
But, before that there were so many great features on the dryer. It had a dampness sensor, and many different dry levels. It was my favorite appliance. I will be purchasing a new LG.

This was a great purchase and a great value for the cost. It actually dries things the first time including loads of jeans. Very few items come out wet, but that is because I try to set the time for a short as I think it may dry in and no fault of the machine. I would buy this or another LG dryer again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by resipsaloquitur First service call - 18 months in
I was generally pretty happy with this unit and fairly confident it would last given the reviews, but, I've had the unit 18 months and already have to have it serviced. The unit won't power on, though the light works when the door is open. My expectations were higher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Notsotechno Dry the first time
This dryer has so many options that I can choose to set it for the load size and type, then I press the button, walk away, and the clothes are dry the first time through the cycle. LOVE it. There is a learning curve to understand what setting to put it at, but once you figure it out, you'll be golden.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mr. Mom Washer is a winner, with reservations
The LG 2050 Washer is very highly rated by Consumer Reports. I don't think anyone can afford to ignore their ratings. I did find that the door occasionally vibrates when the load is a bit unbalanced. This washer takes plenty of time to swish the load back and forth to avoid major imbalances, but it's impossible to be perfect in that regard. I leveled the washer with a 3-ft. bubble level and it was right-on-the-money "level" in all directions. I think LG needs to go back to the drawing board on the door looseness. The 2nd thing I noticed was it's very hard to get this washer to do a 30-minute wash. Tip: You have to use "Speed Wash" and experiment with the settings. If you don't, expect an 80-minute wash. That's a lot of electricity contrasted with a 30-minute wash cycle. Three, I don't care for the "automatic" settings built into the electronics trying to force me to fit their own protocols. Four, I'd like a "reminder" ding every few minutes after it completes its' program, which it doesn't have. I do recommend this washer, but I'd want the friend to know these limitations. Happy hunting!

I love this dryer. Sometimes I need to run the load again to get the clothes completely dry; however, overall it dries well. I especially like the "antibacterial" feature which I use for my towels and bed clothes. I definitely would recommend this dryer! I might add, I purchased my LG based upon Consumer Reports' recommendaion. Consumer Reports have never let me down and I use their advise for all major purchases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by missmissy luv it!
I can't say enough good things about this dryer. I would have to say that a normal load dries in about 25 minutes. I really like the flow sensor because I've had trouble with lint building up in my vent system. Also there is only a small amount of lint that collects which makes my job easier.
