Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this washing machine. The ‘CL’ message on the display denotes the activation of the CHILD LOCK. This option is to prevent unwanted use of the washer or to keep cycle settings from being changed while the washer is operating. When activated, all buttons are disabled except the ON/OFF button. This cycle also lasts after the end of the cycle. You must manually deactivate this feature. Press and hold the PREWASH button for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the Child Lock function.

Answer:
Yes, this is normal operation. The “CHECK FILTER” light is designed to come on at the start of each cycle, simply as a reminder to check the lint screen.

We appreciate your interest in the pedestals for this washer and dryer. These models were designed for compatibility with the WDP2W pedestal. The newer models WDP4 and WDP5 will both require an adaptor kit for proper operation. This kit is part number AAA30793428. Accessories can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491.

The dryer acts as if it wants to start, but cannot. And yes, the lint filter is clean.

I can dry a load of clothes, but when I try to restart the dryer with a new load the dryer hums but won't start. After a while (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes an hour), the dryer clicks and I can restart it and it works fine for that cycle.
