dryer makes knocking/rattle noise

my washer and dryer were just delivered today. The washer works great and the dryer is heating fine but it makes a steady knocking noise while running. It doesnt sound normal and is loud enough to be heard in other rooms of the house.

This unit should not be producing a knocking sound. The unit may require service to determine the source of the sound. Answer:
The rack was unavailable in this one. I did look at an upgraded model, the companion to the washer I purchased that did have one, but decided on the DLE4801W, a slightly smaller capacity dryer.
I did not have the need for one in 35 years of clothes drying, therefore chose to go with the slightly smaller load capacity to economize

Has it always been like this? If not, it sounds as if you have done everthing recommended to troubleshoot the problem. I had an issue once with a different brand & style dryer, it was computerized. We had a power outage and it wiped out my customised settings and I had to reset everything.....
I don't know if that helps at all, but seriously I'd contact LG and see if they could give you some direction in solving the issue. Good Luck

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this electric dryer. We can speculate the cause of the lack of heat in this unit. It could potentially be a failure of the heating element, or something with a control board. The only way to know for sure would be to have the unit inspected by a service technician. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
