What type of water is acceptable for your steam washers and dryers?

We just purchased a washer and dryer that both have the steam feature. We know the manual says tap water, but we have well water. Is that acceptable to use or is bottled water an option?

Answer:
Our records do not forbid the use of well water. The only water that is not recommended would be distilled water.

Answer:
I was informed that you can use it for down comforters and will use it in the future. We just bought a new down comforter so we haven't used it yet but will use it on an older one. The store employee stated it can be used.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this operations of this dryer. Before using any features, it is recommended to check the Care Instructions on the comforter tags. Keep in mind that moisture can cling to down feathers and are difficult to dry. It may not be recommended to use any steam cycle. The Steam Sanitary cycle is the only cycle expressly shown that should not be used.

Answer:
It is difficult to determine the cause of the failure of this START/PAUSE button. It would seem that this unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Can the door opening be reversed on DLEX2655V model of dryer?

For example, while looking at the washer and dryer, the dryer is on the left and the washer is on the right. However, at this point in time, the doors open in a way that the they are together and will bump into each other. What I would like is for them to open away from each other and I would have no doors in the middle to manuver around. Is this possible?

Answer:
Yes, it is possible to reverse the door on our electric dryers. The directions for reversing the door can be found on page 13 and 14, with pictures of the operation. Open the door to reverse. Check the 10 screws that need to be removed (6 on the left, 4 on the right). Remove 4 dummy screws with a screwdriver. Remove the two screws from, and disassemble, the latch. Hold on to the hinge while removing 4 screws from the hinge (to prevent the door from dropping). Remove the door from the cabinet cover. Move the door to the left side and insert a hinge into a hinge hole. Hold on to the hinge while screwing down the hinge (to prevent the door from dropping). Insert the latch to the right side and install the screws. Screw down the 4 dummy screws to the right side. Check that the door closes and latches properly.
