Why are the dryer & washer discontinued? Are there problems with them?

Answer:
The lint filter does not fit snugly in the dryer so its edges chip off and the remaining edges catch, twist and tear clothing. I am on my fourth filter and this dryer has ruined at least nine articles of clothing. The dryer also never gets very hot so it can take up to two hours to dry a load of clothes.

Answer:
Discontinuation of a particular model does not mean that it was not new within the previous year. One model is “discontinued” when a new model is released, which usually occurs within a year’s time. It is more of a replacement by a different model than anything caused by a problem.

Does the 'Antibacterial' setting kill viruses?

Does the 'Antibacterial' setting on the DLEX3001W dryer kill viruses? Or another setting? If so, what is the best way to kill viruses with this model?

Answer:
I apologize, but no; unfortunately, temperatures must reach 160 degrees in order to kill viruses. It does not appear that the washers and dryers can quite reach these temperatures.

Dryers just dry clothes. The SteamDryer™ has SteamFresh™ to freshen up that shirt you haven’t worn in ages, can clean kids toys with SteamSanitary™, and EasyIron™ could happily replace your actual iron. Calling this a dryer wouldn’t be right. With all that it does, this is something better.
