Surprisingly Excellent Gas Dryer!
I have had the gas dryer working for about 2 weeks now. I love it! Especially how efficiently it uses the natural gas to heat the clothes. The gas ignites, heats up the air, and turns off when it reaches the correct temperature, all the while the drum is tumbling. My clothes turn out to be perfectly dry, but not bone dry. I think this dryer is more gentle to my clothes than the electric dryer I had before this one.
The dryer is very easy to use even without directions, although it did help to read through the instruction book first. Having the lint screen at the front of the dryer is very convenient. I can use the top as a folding table, which I've never had before. A great purchase!!

I purchased the DLG5966G dryer over a year ago and just love it. Once you get familiar with how each setting performs it is a dream to use. Its big enough to easily handle a queen size bed of linens, comforter and all, plus a few towels and versitile enough to handle a few delicate pieces. My washer & dryer are located in my garage so noise was not really a consideration for me, but both the washer and dryer are much quieter than my previous units.
This unit was a great value for me as well, Besides catching it at a great sale price, it qualified for a nice rebate from my local energy company.

Great Dryer, But...
We have used the dryer and the matching WM2455H washer for nearly two years and have had no complaints about performance, noise, smell or any other of the popular complaints. But we have had to have the control panel replaced once because the lettering was coming off or smearing and we couldn't read many of the words any longer. We have had the washer panel replaced three times and will soon have to have the dryer panel replaced again. Thank goodness for Sears extended warranty. I sprayed the last washer panel before installation with a water-based acrylic spray and hope that takes care of the problem for good.

I really like the features and quality...and it is quiet too. The air-dry feature is nice if you can't hang up the clothes right away. You can just set the timer and let it tumble while you need to finish something else first.
