re lg gas dryer 5171

hi, do you need a separate hose for the steam function? if so, do you have to buy the washer for it to work? also does the 5170 model steam function work as well since you just fill the water holder when you want steam ? thanks! Cheryl

Answer:
You do not need a water hose for the steam function, you just fill the reservoir. I have not used it yet but my friend has the same dryer and loves the option.

I'm reading that the clothes sometimes come out damp and not completely dry because of the Sensory Dry option. can that be turned off or not used if I want to set my own time for drying?

Hello Marcy,

This dryer also has a timed drying option (20, 30, 40, 50, 60 min.) instead of sensory dry :)

Specifically, I am wondering if I can run the dryer vent from the right side of the unit. I am trying to avoid running the vent from the back and losing valuable space in my laundry room.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

Your dryer shouldn't just dry clothes. It should save you time by giving you more room to do less loads. It should make your clothes feel fresh in no time and your life feel easier by reducing wrinkles and static cling. There's so much a dryer should do, and this does so much more.
