What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gas Dryer Love this LG Gas Dryer I have so many options of heat control. The clothes come out looking great and being dry like they need to be. Love the front panel control. Also the glass front is nice for seeing clothes as they tumble in drying cycle. Very clean style with low noise level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks nice, dries quickly I've had this dryer for over a month now and I love it. It's my first gas dryer (just bought a new house and replaced an existing gas dryer). I was a little hesitant at first, in part because the gas version was higher priced, but it's been amazing. This accompanies my LG washer, also about a month old. The clothes come out barely wet from there, so the dryer doesn't have as much work to do to begin with. But it dries really fast. Like, sometimes I step away and 20 minutes later I hear the end of cycle signal. The first few times I went in skeptical, thinking there was no way my towels were completely dry that quickly. But they were! I received my first gas bill and it was half of what it was in my old house, which didn't have a gas dryer. So the extra money upfront is saving me money on the back end with my utility bills. I like that you can turn off the signal or switch it to low. And its a sweet melody, not an annoying buzzer. I haven't used the steam function yet, but am anxious to try it. I would definitely recommend this dryer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Newmom14 I bought this dryer along with the matching 4.3 cu. ft. washer in white and I absolutely love it. I mostly use the regular cycle and the towel cycle. My towels always come out completely dry, as do my clothes. If I have one negative thing to say, it's that when I do my sons clothing (he's 7+ months old and I do his clothes separate) they don't always dry completely. I think it has to do with the fact that each drying cycle is "Sensor Dry" and if the machine doesn't sense any moisture it will shorten the drying cycle. His loads aren't very big either so that could also be a factor. I haven't used the "wrinkle free" setting yet, but I can't wait to try it out! Also, I love that the controls are in the front of the dryer (and washer) instead of on the back. Much better to reach for us short people. :-P

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect dryer! Everything about this appliance is perfect. I love how it dries your clothes, NOT cook them! And the steam feature is great when I just need to de-wrinkle an item. On top of that, IF a dryer can be pretty, this one is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Everything About This Dryer Purchased about a month ago - can't say enough good things about the dryer - beautiful looking and performing great. Clothes come out perfect, love the wrinkle free steam setting too. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my new dryer! What a great dryer! It's quiet, dries more quickly than my old gas dryer, and the front load makes it easy to get everything in and out. Many cycles to choose from, and I love the sleek design and color. Decent value for the quality. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product We are very pleased with this product--high quality, quiet, easy to use, great features. Our gas company mailed us a check for $200.00 since we bought a high efficiency gas drier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT FEATURES I just got this dryer a few months ago to replace a 23-year-old one and I was a bit intimidated with all of the features on it compared to my old dryer. There was a bit of a learning curve for me (so many options to select from!) but I now find it's quite easy to customize the various settings to make my clothes come out of dryer in much better shape than they had with the old dryer! The only thing I wish was different about this dryer was the angle at which the door opens. The door opens to the side, rather than downward (as my old dryer had). If I drop an article of dried clothing while taking it out of this dryer it lands on the floor rather than on the door - would prefer to have that door open downward and act as a "catch-safe" for any newly-laundered item I might drop. Other than that, I am quite please with the dryer and am hoping it will last as long as my last one had!

Hello, I have this model in white, brand new. I just recently put a shirt and started the steam fresh cycle. After the cycle was completed my shirt was soaked. What could be the problem?

Asked by: Gdelatorre
We regret the trouble you are having with the Steam Fresh cycle on your unit. During this cycle the clothes will be sprayed with hot water and come out feeling damp or wet. The Steam Fresh cycle uses steam only to reduce winkles and odors from fabrics. You can find more information on each cycle setting on page 31 of your owner’s manual. You may also contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for more assistance.

New dyer. Can't find owners manual.  What does d90 mean? Thank you

Asked by: Clejarin
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this gas dryer. According to page 37 of the owner’s manual, the d90 indicator is designed to denote that the exhaust duct, whether in the hose or through the wall, is about 90% blocked. This needs to be cleared before attempting to use the machine again.

DLGY1202W - Check Filter Light

About two months ago, every time we go to use the DLGY1202W dryer, the check filter light blinks, regardless of how spotless the lint filter is. The dryer will still work, although it doesnt seem to dry as well as it used to. Can anyone help?
Asked by: boulderskies
Dmoney - thank you for responding. You are correct. For others with the same question, the Check Filter light begins flashing whenever you start a cycle. I finally found this out by reading it in the manual (duh). You would think the light would mean the filter needs to be cleaned; no-its just a reminder to check it each time to dry a load of laundry. LG Support staff could've provided this information here too....

I've read the reviews and see that many are especially happy witht he Steam Fresh setting. But I'm still not sure what I would use this for?

I just got my LG Dryer a few weeks ago and am very happy with it. I want to take advantage of the Steam Fresh feature, but I'm not sure how to use it. Is it something that you use within a regular drying cycle, or separately simply to refresh clothes? How does this differ from the Wrinkle Free setting? Any tips on when/how/where to use the Steam Fresh setting would be greatly appreciated!
Asked by: Isis
Selecting the WRINKLE CARE option will allow the load to tumble periodically, for up to 3 hours after the selected cycle, or until the door is opened. This is helpful in preventing wrinkles when you are unable to remove items from the dryer immediately. This feature does not actually utilize Steam. The STEAM FRESH cycle is designed for use in making heavily wrinkled clothing easier to iron by the use of Steam.
