How do I adjust the volume with the ipod app?

Just bought the LHB976 Network Blu-ray Home Theater System and a 55LW5600 Cinema 3D TV. I placed the LHB976 somewhere where IR cannot reach it. Everything works with the app, except volume.
Am I to use ARC on the TV and use the TV app to control volume?

Answer:
Ok, I found out how to control the volume of the LHB976 Home Theater System with the ipod/ipad app for the 55LW5600 Cinema 3D TV.
On the TV, turn on ARC and Turn on SimpLink.
ARC is in the Audio setting, SimpLink is in the input selection at the bottom. When SimpLink is on, select the speakers to control.

With this you can now control the volume with the TV remote and also the ipod/apad app. You can also turn off the TV and the TV will turn off the HomeTheater system.

Answer:
The Audio Return Channel (ARC) has no control over volume. This is a matter of sending the audio signal from the TV to the Home Theater System, to the speakers, only. The Home Theater System is still in control of its own volume level. The television cannot make this adjustment. The Home Theater System will need to be positioned to where the signal can be received.

Mixing systems

I already own a 975 system. Can I use the 976 system but replace the rear speakers with the 975 front speakers. Use the rears and the old system for another sound system? Would this be a better main system.?

Either set of speakers should be well compatible with either system, as both are 180 Watt “Tall-boy” speakers.

The rear speakers will be required to operate wirelessly for this system. There are only speaker wire ports for the Front Right, Front Left, Center, and Sub-Woofer speakers.

Are the wireless rear speakers really wireless

Do the rear speakers have a wired amp like the previous model? I've read several reviews in reference to LG LHB975 model and "issues" with the sub-woofer and rear speakers. Has this been resolved in this model?

On this system, the unit is designed to have the subwoofer wired to the system, while only the rear speakers are designed to be wireless.
