We just purchased the microwave and when peeling off the white sticker that is on the top of the microwave, it also pulled up part of a very thin, clear plactic-like covering. It this supposed to come off?

Answer:
On mine the white sticker clearly said that the film on the exterior of the microwave needed to be removed before operating as failure to remove would cause moisture build up. It even said to remove the film starting at the bottom.

Answer:
There is frequently a layer of thin film on appliances that are in place to help reduce some cosmetic markings during packing and transit. This film should be removed, as often it covers a vent, preventing dust from getting inside the cabinet. If such a film is not removed, it could result in overheating of the unit.

Light in LCRT1510SV

We just purchased the LCRT1510SV LG microwave and read all the directions and tried it and there is no light. Does this model have one? The instructions says it does, but nothing lights up. I have it plugged in and the clock is set, everyhting else seems to work fine but I would like to see what is cooking.

My light comes on. The overall quality is poor, so just accept the fact that your light doesn't work...or take it back.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this microwave oven. There is a lamp in the right-hand wall of the cabinet. If this lamp is out, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Answer:
The serial number is on the back of the microwave on a sticker with a bar code on it; the sticker on mine is sideways, i.e., perpendicular to the horizontal surface. The serial number on my unit is the top number.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. The serial number is typically located on a label in the door frame of the unit. One of the labels should provide the power information, while another will provide the model and serial information for the product.

does this model have a delay start feature?

I enjoy the convenience of setting the timer to start cooking in my absence so the entire meal is done at the same time.

I put the vegetable in the micro oven and set the timer for when I think the rest of the meal will be ready and then set the time cook for however many minutes needed. The oven starts by itself so when I return from grilling the vegetable is done.

Please advise if this unit has this convenience/feature.

Thanks-Lynn

Answer:
It has a kitchen timer so you can set the time when you're ready to cook the vegetables. An alarm will go off then you can simply use EZ-ON feature to cook.
