Answer:
Like they said in the past post, it has a stainless steel front, but the handle is plastic and painted with a stainless look. I was cleaning mine with a cleaner and noticed the color coming off...

Magnets stick to it, so it's a stainless look, not stainless steel.

I'm hopeful that there is a light on the underside of the microwave that will provide over stove top lighting. How about inside of the microwave when the door is open or when its on?

Answer:
This microwave oven is configured, at the factory, to vent through the front of the unit, making a vent duct unnecessary. However, should you choose to adjust the unit to vent out the back or vent upward, placement templates are provided with the unit. For an upward ventilation, the opening would be centered at the back of the top of the cabinet, 5” deep, and 11 3/4" wide. For venting through the back wall, allow a 1/4" gap from the top cabinet, and being centered, 12” wide and 4” deep.

Answer:
Sure you can remove the vent cover on the top back of the unit and flip the fan around to vent either up or to the back. You need to punch out the rectangular knockouts to allow the air to flow either up or back depending on where you want the air to vent.

Answer:
This unit is configured, at the factory, to vent back in to the room, through the filter in the front of the casing. It also has options available to vent UP or OUT THE BACK, should you so choose. This would be a matter of adjusting the vent fan.

Does the mounting plate need to be pushed up to be flush with the bottom of the cabinet or is there some clearance required? The mounting plate appears to be the same size as height of the oven. The cabinet where I want to mount the microwave is flush and has no frame. If the mounting plate is mounted flush with the bottom of the cabinet, there would be no clearance to place the oven onto the "hooks" of the mounting bracket. The mounting instructions do not state if the mounting plate should be flush.

Answer:
The microwave can be mounted flush to the underside of the cabinet, depending upon the design of the cabinetry. The bracket is designed to be the same size as the microwave. Proper installation will allow the the bottom corner of the microwave to “hook” onto the mounting bracket, and then to rotate up into the proper position. The unit will fit, even when it it flush to the cabinet.
