Answer:
At a minimum, you need 30 inches from the top of the counter to the bottom of the cabinet from which it will be mounted. I believe the microwave is about 15 inches tall so the direct answer is about 15 inches from the countertop to the bottom of the microwave.

Answer:
This is meant for mounting on a wall and from an overhead cabinet. It has no feet so the door would drag if it was placed directly on a countertop,

Answer:
The bottom of the microwave is not flat, it would not sit evenly. It might be used temporarily this way though.

Do you need to purchase the mounting rack or brackets seperately or does it come with the unit? If it is seperately where do I purchase it and what is the part number. Thanks, BJ

Answer:
All mounting hardware is included. There is a metal panel provided, to be lag bolted to studs in the rear. This and 2 bolts through the cabinet above, hold unit in place. There is also a rack for use inside cooking cavity, also included.

My existing exhaust fan goes through my attic and roof and goes outside. Is this particular compatible with that also?

Answer:
Yes, unit can vent up or to rear. Exhaust is not especially strong, so a direct run without bends would provide best performance.

Yes an installation manual and a user manual are available at the "LGUSA.com" website. It's a pdf file which is nice because I can print only the extra pages that I want.
