What is in the box?

What is provided in the box (in addition to the monitor)? A power cord? A video cable? (What kind - VGA or DVI?) I looked for this information on the LG website under "Technical Specifications" but there is nothing there (using 2 different browsers). More detail is needed. The box itself does not provide any additional information.

The monitor itself doesn't have an audio port to connect peripheral speakers, it only has the ac/adapter port, VGA and DVI ports. If that is purposeful then do DVI ports have integrated audio support like hdmi ports?

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this monitor. According to the website information, viewed at http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-22..., this monitor has 2 INPUT connections: D-SUB/VGA and a DVI-D. The information in your owner’s manual, on page 4, confirms this information.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this monitor. The only specialized driver currently available for this unit allows compatibility with Window 8. For any other Operating System, the monitor will have to utilize Plug and Play generic drivers provided by the Operating System. We do not have any drivers available for Linux.

There is a small hole (notch) with a symbol of a lock on the back of the monitor but there doesn't seem to be anything in there.

Answer:
Place the monitor set with the screen side down on a flat and cushioned surface. Pull out the Stand Body and Stand Base from the monitor set. Turn the screw, on the bottom of the base, to the left with a coin. This should release the lock on the base and body. This information can be viewed on page 5 of your owner’s manual.
