1ms Motion Blur Reduction

A monitor’s response time is critical in games. 1ms Motion Blur Reduction will allow gamers to enjoy the precision and accuracy needed to play at a very high level. With a response time that is virtually 1ms, blurring and ghosting are dramatically reduced to make the in-game action smoother and gamer reactions more precise.

What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best productivity monitor on the market! I've been using the monitor for a few months for my research an I love it! I can see all of the necessary code, reference material, executables, and I still manage to squeeze in some room for a video. One of the best investments I've made in a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good Monitor I can recommend this monitor to media editors and multi task user not good for graphic designer or gamer. for gamer refresh rate bit slow also free sing not support by nvida, we all know major US market gamer using Nvida video card not AMD. for graphic designing more than 27" 4K monitor viewing sight distorting the image by person sight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Monitor I love the monitor. It feel like the perfect size for what I do. I am Building Designer and use a CAD program. Them monitor feeds all my tools and plenty of room for all my drawings. I do have one issue, and that is the I can not fine a "C" connection that will will work with my Thunderbolt out puts. The 2nd generation Thunderbolt connections are the fasted connection my computer has and if I could use the "C" out put on the monitor then it would drive power to the USB connection to the monitor. But for now, I am using Thunderbolt to Monitor conection which works but does not drive the available USB on the back of the Monitor. Over all I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my 38" monitor The monitor works great for my purposes. The picture is extremely clear & vibrant. I use it for Mac OS X versions 10.12 & 10.13 (Nvidia 750TI / AMD Vega 64) with a Display Port connection (Hackintosh). I also play games with Windows 10. I have also connected the monitor thru the HDMI port to my Dell Laptop. The only thing I don't like is the Bluetooth sound connection. For some reason there is a Bluetooth symbol on the lower right corner if I use bluetooth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! I just had the 38 inch delivered today. I was very exited to replace my 34 inch which was just over two years old. My 34 inch would allow me to connect my PC my mac and a 3rd laptop (without keyboard and mouse control). When I set the 38 inch up it requires special software to be installed (cant do that with my work machine) after 30 minutes with support I find out that the monitor can only manage one set of USB devices meaning that I have to have a keyboard and mouse for each machine. So whats the point of plugging them into the monitor? Further I can connect only my mac and one other machine. Beautiful monitor but its headed back to the store. what a waste of all this technology. Do the monitor designers even speak to the users?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dimensions confusing Why is it listed as 3.6" high? With Stand (WxHxD) 32.7" x 17.7" x 11.0" (down) – 15.7" (up) Without Stand (WxHxD) 35.3" x 3.6" x 15.5" Shipping Dimensions (WxHxD) 41.5" x 8.1" x 21.2" And why is it listed as wider without a stand? How is it a stand changes width? This is a fantastic monitor but it worries me that they can't get basic stuff like this correct. If they are as sloppy as this in their engineering department, I don't think the monitor will last very long.

How do I control the volume from a MacBook Pro (late 2016, with 4 Thunderbolt)? The volume keys on the keyboard don't work. The LG UltraFine do work though. The OnScreen app isn't ideal. And when I use BlueTooth, a BT icon shows up on screen all the time.

Asked by: EricSF
To control the volume of the monitor, you need to press the joystick button at the bottom of the monitor then go to Menu. Go to sound and configure the volume on it. It won’t work if you will use the volume keys on your keyboard. For further assistance, please give us a ring at 1-800-243-0000. ^AC

The reason that the LG 38" Class 21:9 UltraWide® WQHD+ IPS Curved LED Monitor (37.5" Diagonal), Model # 38UC99-W is on our page while the 38CB99-W is not is because one is a Consumer monitor while the other is from our Commercial and Business division. When the monitor is turned off (by power saver or manually) and then turned on again, the USB ports stop working. I have to unplug the USB-C cable and plug it again to get them working. Does anybody has the same problem? If so, will LG fix it by firmware?

I have had this monitor for awhile and love it.  Are there USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 cables that work to connect the display to rMBP other than the one supplied in the box.  I am looking for a longer cable and have tried several without success.

Asked by: jimtuch
We appreciate your interest in this TV. We would be unable to provide information about items not manufactured by LG. We would advise you speak with an electronic retailer for better assistance with questions about a longer cable.

I have a height constraint in my work area. I'm not sure I understand the dimensions. The specs say the ht goes from 11" to 15.7" with the stand, but the monitor is already 17" high. How can the ht with the stand be less than the ht of the monitor itself?
