Latest LG Dishwashers Are One of the Quietest, Most Energy Efficient on the Market

NEW YORK --- December 14, 2005 ---Continuing to deliver innovation across its home appliance product portfolio, LG Electronics, a leading global consumer products manufacturer, showcased the company's U.S. dishwasher line at its 2006 preview event in New York City. In addition to be being one of the quietest dishwashers on the market (48 decibels), it features an extra large stainless steel tub which is one of the largest capacities available in the U.S. fitting 16 place settings, versus the standard 12 or 14 on the market today.

"The combination of high capacity, low noise and energy efficiency put our dishwasher line into a league of its own, delivering even more convenience in the kitchen," said Teddy Hwang, President of Digital Appliances for LG Electronics, U.S.A. "We are committed to delivering a broad variety of premium, high-quality and high-performance home appliance solutions to consumers"Featuring sleek, sophisticated designs that have become the hallmark of LG's home appliances, these dishwashers are available in semi- and fully-integrated models and a variety of finishes to suit any kitchen style, as well as match other LG appliances. The semi-integrated models feature digital display and controls on the outside door, while the fully-integrated versions have the digital display on the outside door and controls hidden on top of the door for a more "polished" look.

As with all LG home appliances, the company's dishwasher line is also energy-efficient and low in water consumption. All products feature a soil level sensor to determine the number of rinses needed, and a half-load cleaning option to allow for washing in either the upper or lower deck to conserve water and electricity. Adjustable racks further enhance product versatility and enable large, odd-shaped items to fit in a variety of spaces. Other features include:
- Wide LED display for easy viewing
- Removable, fold-down tines
- Adjustable upper rack, from 10- to 12-inches (Bottom rack measures 12- to 14-inches dependant of top rack setting)
- Three separate cutlery baskets
- Three water settings (strong, normal and soft) for various types of washing
- Highly efficient drying process for reduced spotting

Available now, LG's dishwasher line comes in a variety of finishes including smooth white, smooth black and stainless steel at a manufacturer's suggested retail price ranging from $699 to $999.

Products specifications and pricing are subject to change.
