New Enhancements Offer Increased Capacity, Convenience and Sleek, Stylish Design

NEW YORK --- December 14, 2005 --- Dedicated to providing consumers with premium and sleek home appliances in a variety of categories, LG Electronics, a leading global consumer products manufacturer, today showcased one of its recent technological advancements in its full-suite of microwave oven offerings. The product was on display today at the company's 2006 preview event in New York City.

Over-the-Range Advancements
As part of its mission to redefine consumer expectations, LG refines its line of over-the-range microwave ovens, delivering a premium product to discerning consumers. Key design features such as contoured handles and stainless steel finishes that wrap around the sides of the microwave create a "polished" look in the kitchen.


New models include: 
- Model LMVM2055ST: Offers a 2.0 cubic foot capacity, along with LG's Glide 'n CookTM system ' a unique sliding tray that maximizes cooking space and promotes even cooking. The product also incorporates an easy-to-reach MonitorTM look control panel placed at the bottom of the unit. It features 1100 watts of power, 300 CFM and a melt/soften function for various cooking needs. Models include two halogen cook top lights and WideView windows for easier viewing. (Available now at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $499)

Other OTR models not on display at today's event, include:
-Model LMV2053 : Offers a 2.0 cubic foot capacity, along with 1100 watts of power, a melt/soften function for various cooking needs and Sensor Cook technology, which senses moisture levels to determine when cooking is finished, and automatically turns the oven off. Models include two halogen cook top lights and WideView windows. (Available Q1 2006, at a manufacturer's suggested retail price ranging from $299 to $349) 
- Model LMVH1750ST : Features a 1.7 cubic foot capacity, along with 950 watts of power for the microwave and 1500 for the convection oven, providing consumers with the convenience of having a second oven. A stainless steel cavity and Sensor Cook technology help deliver a more evenly cooked dish. Models also include two halogen cook top lights and WideView windows. (Available now, at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $599) 
- Model LMV1630 : which offers a 1.6 cubic foot capacity along with 1000 watts of power and an option to activate the turntable, meeting various cooking needs. Models also include two halogen cook top lights and WideView windows. (Available Q1 2006, at a manufacturer's suggested retail price ranging from $199 to $249)

Small Wonders: Combination Microwave Oven Advancements
Ideal for small kitchens, apartments and work places, LG's Combination Microwave/Toaster and Microwave/Coffeemaker products help free up valuable counter space and save consumers time with their multi-functionality capabilities.
The Combination Microwave/Toaster boasts a sleek design, features a two-slice toaster with nine browning levels, a horizontal keypad and is available in two sizes, .9 and 1.2 cubic feet. The microwave has 900 to 1200 watts of power depending on the model, and the toaster delivers 800 watts power. It is available now in stainless steel with a manufacturer's suggested retail prices ranging from $139 to $169.

The Combination Microwave/Coffeemaker is 1.2 cubic feet delivering 1200 watts of power in the microwave, a 14.25-inch turntable and a two-line scroll display. The coffee system includes a replaceable 33-ounce coffee carafe, an automatic coffee timer with auto shut-off after one-hour brewing, and can brew coffee at one of three temperatures (High: 179oF, Medium: 165oF, Low: 147oF). The unit is available now in stainless steel at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $179.99.
