LG ELECTRONICS USA APPOINTS VANDENBREE
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GO-TO-MARKET OPERATIONS

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Aug. 31, 2009 – Industry veteran Jay Vandenbree is joining LG Electronics USA in the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Go-to-Market Operations, reporting to Teddy Hwang, President of LG Electronics USA, Inc. Vandenbree, a long-time Sony Electronics executive, will be responsible for key sales support activities including product management, pricing, promotion, channel merchandising and market analysis for LG’s home entertainment and home appliance business in the United States.
This new role, which enhances key back-room operations, will “further strengthen our core sales and marketing efforts, providing focused leadership across all sales and marketing disciplines as we continue to grow,” Hwang said. LG Electronics USA Sales President John Herrington, continuing his strong external focus, will build organizational capabilities to support new and existing customer relationships. Marketing Senior Vice President Peter Reiner will continue his consumer and brand focus, concentrating on building one LG brand across all product lines in North America, while Kevin Holian, Vice President, Supply Chain, will focus on delivering the right products on time to customers.

Vandenbree brings to LG Electronics USA more than two decades of industry experience. In his 23-year career at Sony Electronics, Jay held key sales operations positions, most recently President of Consumer Sales since 2006, when he was responsible for Sony’s U.S. consumer sales strategy with retail partners and direct businesses. Prior to this role, he served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Sales Planning, where his responsibilities included managing national sales budgets, strategy development, distribution planning and retail supply chain development, beginning in 2003.
Vandenbree was recognized by the Home Theater Specialists of America as 2009 Man of the Year and has been a guest speaker at forums and universities across the country. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations and Management from Seton Hall University.
