LG HELPS HVAC CONTRACTORS GET AHEAD WITH ‘LG EXCELLENCE CONTRATOR PROGRAM’
Highlighted at AHR Expo, Expanded 2014 Program Helps Contractors Enhance Expertise, Customer Care
NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2014 – Recognizing the critical importance of technical training and customer service excellence, LG Electronics USA has expanded the “LG Excellence Contractor Program,” a comprehensive training and contractor recognition program designed to assist independent HVAC contractors in selling, installing and servicing LG residential home comfort solutions.
The LG Excellence Contractor Program helps set participating contractors apart from their competitors with extensive technical and customer care training on today’s advanced ductless HVAC systems. To enroll in the program, contractors must be nominated by their local distributor or an LG sales manager, participate onsite in a local LG Contractor Opportunity meeting, and complete product and applications online training courses available as part of the LG Learning Management System (LMS) or through certified instructor-led training courses in one of state-of-the-art U.S. LG Training Academies in Georgia, Texas, New Jersey and California.

To help expand the LG Excellence Contractor Program, first launched last spring, LG has brought together a team of “LG Ambassadors,” a dedicated group of key distributors that works with the LG sales team to recruit and call on local contractors.
Upon enrollment in the program, contractors can take advantage of a number of attractive benefits for 2014, including:
- Lead referrals from consumer outreach campaigns and listing on the LG website contractor locator, making new customer acquisition easier than ever,
- Access to LG materials including advertisements, literature, vehicle decals and promotional items to assist in marketing efforts,
- Ongoing training available online or in one of four regional training academy locations,
- Customer-focused technical support through the LG support line, and
- “LG Perks Points” for sales of eligible LG duct-free products through the LG Perks incentive program.
In addition, contractors who complete all of the requirements of the program and become LG Excellence Contractors receive a one-year limited labor warranty inclusive of the indoor and outdoor equipment. LG Excellence Contractors also receive double Perks points to help them earn great incentives faster.
