Why don't the 2012 LG tv's (including my 47LM7600) have an app for Amazon Prime (or Amazon Instant Video) like the 2011 models did?

According to our latest information, the Amazon Instant Video service is currently available on all of our 2011 Smart TV products, and as of the latest updates, has been added to all of our 2012 model SmartTV televisions. Yes, It is indeed such a dissapointment to notice the Amazon app missing on this premier line-up. Also, for the staff to simply point to Amazon is not helping much for stranded consumers, who has to buy additional hardware for accessing certain content.1 year, 5 months ago

Amazon says that it is an LG issue. When I called LG and pressed the rep about it, she said that the Amazon app/instant video viewing functionality is not an included feature of the LM7600.I told her that I did not buy a SMART TV to have to use a Roku to access Amazon Instant video.
She then said that there would be a firmware/app update in November to correct this problem.
Nothing yet.
I only hope that other LM7600 owner's speak up.
It's a big annoyance.

Amazon Prime has not been added to any of our 2012 Smart TV model lines. This was a decision made by Amazon. At this time, we have no information available as to whether this feature will be added.1 year, 10 months ago

It will, but my experience using wireless has been, well, amazing. I was worried too. A lot will depend on your router but no wires for me, even when streaming full HD content.Gender: male

The LM7600 has wifi capabilities built in. When the TV is first turned on, you will be prompted to set up your internet connection and you can choose whether you'd like to connect wired or wirelessly.1 year, 11 months ago
