Answer:
As others have stated it may be the convection oven but it may not. You have the option to cook with or without the convection setting. Be conscious of your choice on the panel. But if you read the owners manual, you will see that there is a way to offset for temperature. You need to check the oven's actual temp based on your selection with a temperature gauge probe. If you find that the oven temp is off you can either compensate for the the difference when you set the oven temp or use the steps outlined in the owners manual so that the setting is corrected to the internal temperature. I hope this helps answer your question.

Answer:
It's a convection oven and they usually cook things quicker. This oven tries to compensate for that by automatically dropping the temp 25 degrees. But I play around with my recipes to find out what the best temperature to set it at so that things are done about the time I want.

Answer:
You may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it before changing the temperature settings. If, after familiarizing yourself with the new oven, you still think that it is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the oven temperature yourself. Steps to do so can be found on page 15 of your owner’s manual.

You can download specifications in PDF form for both ovens and print them out to do a line by line comparisons. There are a number of differences , i.e. weight, element sizes, power abilities, etc. Look under specifications tab to find the answers you are looking for.

Answer:
In addition to the EasyClean™ Technology difference:
1. The 3017 lists a 1 year warranty. The 3037 has a 1 year warranty with an additional 5 year limited warranty on cooktop and radiant surface.
2. Inside the oven the 3037 is more purple (or purply if you are an Elf fan) and the 3017 is more blue.
3. The 3037 lists a sabbath mode. If the 3017 also has this mode, it is not listed in the brochure
4. According to the spec sheet, the 3017 is 29 7/8" wide and the 3037 is 28 3/16" wide. So the 3037 would be a little easier to slide in and out of a 30" opening. It might also leave a little gap.
5. The front left burner in 9" mode on the 3017 is 3000W while the 3037 is 3200W

Answer:
That's it...Just the easy clean. We have had our 3037 for a short time, but we know via a friend with another brand with the same type of cleaning method (called "aqua clean") that it's absolutely amazing. Both models are also "self cleaning", but "Easy Clean" takes ease of maintenance 1 step further. Great Range, by the way...and manufactured by an electronics company that is in a country that is a U.S. ally. Just thought I'd throw that in.

I have just purchased this range and received it today. Most all of my appliances are LG so this question never occurred to me until I wanted to purchase new cookware for it. I need to know if there is a non stick coating on or baked in this range. I am particularly looking for a product called PFOA also known as perfluorooctanoic Acid. This is commonly used in non stick cook ware and it is now known to be used on heating appliances in the kitchen. This product is instantly LETHAL to Birds and I have three birds! Please understand my situation on the urgency of this question and the answer. Not to mention I have this brand new range and can not use it until I get a reply. Please pass this along to the engineers as I know it's not a common question. Myself and my Birds appreciate the sensitivity in this case.
Thank You

Answer:
One of the reasons we bought the 3037, is "Easy Clean". Much different from self cleaning feature. We were unable to find out what exactly makes up the ceramic coating technology that makes easy clean work, but we would much rather use that cleaning method than the "self clean" which produces gases. While we do not have any birds, we do have humans, 1 dog and 1 cat, and just don't like seeing any warnings about detriment to any animal. Don't they still use Birds in some mining operations to alert for dangerous gasses? Read the "Caution" on page 29 ...Explains the Self Cleaning Process of your owners manual...There is NO SUCH CAUTION BOX on Page 32 which explains "Easy Clean". Just a thought.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this oven. The interior of the ovens are ceramic. The cooktop surface is a tempered glass. The only thing that should be harmful to birds is any fumes resulting from the self-clean cycle. The same would be true of any self-cleaning cycle on any range.

Yes you can. However, it is glass and you must be careful about sliding cookware around on it if you do not want scratches.

Answer:
USING THE PROPER COOKWARE
Using the proper cookware can prevent many problems,
such as food taking longer to cook or achieving
inconsistent results. Proper pans will reduce cooking
times and cook food more evenly. Stainless steel is
recommended.
