Some people say that a surface with very slight texture, such as the "dots" on the cooktop surface on the LRE3083SW, wear away over time and make it harder to clean. Are these "dots" on the surface an integral part of the glass, or could they be worn away or scrapped away if a razor blade is used to clean the cooktop surface?

Thanks

House has hole from previous stove that had exhaust fan on back of range. Do not know what make/model this was and am looking for one to replace without having to vent through the attic and roof if using traditional overhead vent. Thank you for your help.

Answer:
I don't believe any free standing ranges today have a feature like you are looking for. The only possible solution is a built in range. Most modern day ranges use a range hood or microwave hood above the range. that vent out the back or use a charcoal filter to clean the air before putting it back in the room .

Answer:
It comes with 3 racks but no broiler pan. Tried to purchase my range in the store, but all..Best Buy, HH Gregg, Lowes, etc... said it was on backorder until February. Ordered it online at HH Gregg on 11/28 and it was delivered on 11/30. Not sure why the stores have the problem getting it but the online purchase was easy and fast.

Answer:
Yes, the manual describes the BROIL feature:
The Broil function uses intense heat from the upper
heating element to cook food. BROIL works best for
tender cuts of meats, fish, and thinly cut vegetables.
Some models may feature a hybrid broiler consisting of an
inner broiler that utilizes a carbon heating element which
provides instantaneous heat, and a traditional outer
broiling element. During normal broiler operation, it is
normal for either element to cycle off intermittently.

Reviews have mentioned several different sources of clicking sounds and many reviewers find these clicks highly annoying. Is there more than one source of these clicks? Can these clicks be muted?

Thanks much...

Answer:
My understanding is that the clicks are the oven heating element cycling on and off. They are probably electrical relays. As such, there is no way to stop the clicking. For me, it is not annoying at all.
