Answer:
The most updated part for this range appears to be the part number EBZ37170002 for the Super Boil and the EBZ37170001 for the other four knobs. We have no way to determine if your part order has been shipped or not. You would have to speak with our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional information.

Problems with range knobs

We purchased the LRG30357ST and installed December 2009. We have already had to replace the 5 knobs once after only 1 year and noticed that some of them are going again. The knobs are made of plastic with a cheap paper (foil) like material around them to give the appearance of metal rather than of simple metal which would have gone the distance that knobs on a range should. We've had ranges in the past and never had this type of problem. This is a poor quality for a middle priced range. We don't have an extended warranty on this product, but feel it is a manufuacturing defect and should be covered by LG without cost to us.

Replacement parts can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491. The most updated part for this range appears to be the part number EBZ37170002 for the Super Boil and the EBZ37170001 for the other four knobs. We cannot arrange for a free of charge replacement of these knobs through this online service, nor can we guarantee that such an option would be available at all. You would have to speak with our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional information.

Self cleaning cycle

I have a range model LRG30357ST and would like to know two things. I have a problem coming up with a correct time (how long) to actually set the oven for self cleaning and, can I put the cast iron grates in the stove as well? Also, Do you have any kind of solution to the loose knob issue I am having? OK, that's three questions, sorry. I really love this range and would love to be able to use it to it's full potential. Any help with these questions would be great. Thanks everyone at LG and, hope to hear from you soon.

Dominick.

Answer:
The standard self-cleaning cycle is normally 4 hours. You can change the clean time to any time between 3 hours and 5 hours, depending on how dirty your oven is. According to page 37 of the owner’s manual, it states specifically, “Do not clean the grates in a self-cleaning oven.” The finish on the grate may chip when no cookware is available to absorb heat away from the grate itself. As to the knobs, additional information would be required as to how, exactly, the knobs appear to be loose.
