This happened to mine and the only way it would start up again was to reset the breaker in the electric box.

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the light will shut off if you leave the door open too long and the alarm is sounding. If left closed for several minutes, the light should come back on the next time you open the door. Sometimes, it will require you to reset by unplugging or shutting off the breaker [this is normal as this will reset the fan as well that would not operate properly if the air flow is not normal/even].

Occasionally when I am removing ice from the tray the ice maker will dump ice and the ice will fall to the bottom of the freezer.Other ice makers I have owned had a disconnect to not allow the ice maker to dump ice while the ice tray was pulled out to obtain ice. The ice tray has to be pulled out inorder to reach the ice.

Answer:
Currently there is not a sensor on the ice maker that will stop the unit from dropping ice if the ice bucket is removed. The Ice maker will continue to cycle as normal unless you turn the unit off when the bucket is removed to stop the cycle.

Answer:
If this unit is not operating at all, it is first recommended to check the electrical system. Is the outlet getting power? Have any circuit breakers been tripped? Is this device on a dedicated circuit? If all of this is set properly, and the unit still does not operate, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
