Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Looks This Stainless Steel Model fits into recessed spot that other Models would not. Only drawback is continual mositure dripping inside because of bad seals on doors. Never replaced or repaired! September 4, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Make sure you buy an extended warranty! We purchased the LG fridge in June 2009. We needed the smaller size and it had the French doors and bottom freezer we wanted. The ice maker is noisy and cubes drop into the abyss under the freezer drawer. What a pain! In December 2010 we had to replace the motor as the freezer was frosting and the fridge was not cooling. At the same time the ice maker broke. In February 2012 we had to replace a sensor because the fridge wasn't cooling. In October 2012 the fridge temp failed again and the freezer zoomed to max temp. It took 4 days for Sears to send a repairman. For the second time in two years, I've had to dump perishable food because of spoilage. This time the issue is the fan in the freezer and the unit needs a completely new circuit board and it will take 10 days for the part to be delivered (plus take time off to be home for the service call). The fridge is working temporarily. Thanks to the extended warranty which I renewed this year, I will receive reimbursement for the spoiled food. The stupid fridge is only 3 1/2 years old. WHAT A LEMON and what a waste of food! Apparently LG has discontinued this model. I notice the new larger models have 10 year warranties. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this dog and have to spend money every two years on warranties just to keep it running and then wait days/weeks until Sears sends a repairman. What was already an expensive refrigerator has become even more so with the warranty expenditures. I remember when they used to build appliances that lasted 20-30 years. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN! Only buy their products if you buy a warranty because you'll eventually need it! October 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for small places this fridge is great for small spaces, you get all the luxury of the big pricey ones but in one small compact size and price is good too. I got on sale for 4th July and it has been great, almost a year now. We didn't have any problems with it what so ever. I like that freezer is in the bottom and my kids can get ice anytime they want it without any help. My only problem is it scratches so easily and you have to be super careful when cleaning. Shelves are adjustable and you kind of have to move them around to find that perfect spot to fit everything right. I would recommend this fridge to anyone. I don't understand why is discontinued, hope nothing is wrong with it. June 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love My LG Fridge!! I've only had this fridge for about 5 months, but so far, I love it!! Very classy styling, large freezer compartment, keeps foods at the right temp and I really like the eye-level feature of the french doors! Plus, I got a screamin' good deal on it, since it was a floor model! I have nothing negative to say about it, it's all good!!! May 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Purchase! I bought the LG refrigerator after my other broke and could not fix it. It was a hard find because I have a condo that only has room for a 30" refrigerator. My problem was unless I tore up the kitchen to make room for something bigger I was stuck with purchasing a regular top mount cheap refrigerator. The model that broke was nice with glass shelves and such, but it was a cheap brand. It never kept food cold enough. I finally figured out the food I had was growing bacteria because it was not being kept cold enough. When I found this LG model my first impression was wow. I have always wanted a French door and they were all to big. LG was the only model besides Whirlpool that made a 30" French door refrigerator. Because the model I bought was upgraded this year they were discounting it for more than 30% of the original price. My store happened to have two still in the box plus the floor model. I compared this model to the new one replacing it and I liked my model better. Number one it had shelves you could split up. The new model only had two flat full shelves, under one was the food drawers. Mine had two split shelves as well as a coke holder for can cokes that's movable to any place. The new model did not have that can holder. Plus the new model had a weird door closer that you were now going to have to open both doors to close them. My model had a smoother shutting of the doors and it is not hard to close. The new model was harder to close. The best surprise when I brought this home was the beauty of it new. The packaging kept it perfect and I loved the look. It dressed up my kitchen so much it felt like I had remodeled. The finish matched my new stove purchased 3 years ago to the perfect color and finish. What shocked me was how fast the thing cooled down. I had ice within an hour. By morning I had a full bin of ice. No refrigerator that I have had has ever made ice that fast. Plus you can choose small, medium, or large cubes. The refrigerator cooled everything off by morning as well. The ice plus feature really amps up the cooling down of new foods added as well as produces triple the ice. I had no idea that I was buying a Cadillac for a refrigerator. I have more space in both the freezer and fridge than I did with the large top mount freezer I had before. I have twice as much freezer space as I did in the top mount. I was worried the fridge might be smaller, but the door selfs and the organized arrangement of the selfs made this have more room. Plus it hold so much more in the doors than a regular fridge. I never hear the thing run except to fill the water for ice. I spent the first week opening it because I thought is was not running. You cannot hear it. Plus when you open the doors the air fan shuts off so your not wasting air or the fan running with the door open. The way the vents are set up ensures every shelf has the same temperature food. It keeps everything on every shelf the same temp. Plus the shelves on the door are just as cold. The thing beeps if you leave either the French door or drawer open. After another minute of being open it turns out all of the lights. The lights are so bright that even the freezer has full bright lighting. The ice bin is huge as well. I am impressed by this LG model and think its the best priced appliance of this style with more bang for your buck for a condo type setup. I have a friend who bought a 56" side by side and she hates it not having enough room. She saw mine and was shocked that mine was so much smaller than hers but it had twice as much room that was set up so conveniently. I am also 6"3 and the fact I never have to bend over to get in the fridge makes this appliance the most favorite I ever bought. I will consider buying more LG prducts and appliances for my house as I need them. I have been fully impressed. Anyone looking should consider this appliance with the expensive higher priced brands. You will be amazed and glad you did. I never write reviews so you know if I took the time to do so this appliance completely won me over. January 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by LFC20760SW I like the refrigerator. The old one was 20+ years old and using a lot of energy, so anything I would have gotten would have been better than what I had. It's maybe a little bit smaller than what I had, but I work around it by stacking things. I also wanted the freezer onthe bottom for easy access to the most used part; the refrigerator. It's also quite, regardless of what I've read in other reviews. October 3, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far so good We have had this appliance for about 5 months and it is running just fine. This is the first refrigerator we've ever owned that has a "bottom freezer" and "french doors." Here are some things we like about it. Having the food compartment elevated abve the freezer = no bending + a good view of all the contents. The freezer holds a lot more than it appears. We have no complaints, however the french doors could use some design improvements. We find it is quite easy to leave one of the doors slightly open, but not open enough to activate the beeper indicating the door has been left open. October 2, 2011
