Answer:
According to the instructions it takes 24 hours after you turn on the ice maker for the ice cubes to form. The instructions also says to discard the first batch of ice cubes. We just got our refrigerator 29 hours ago and we've discarded the first batch and more were made.

Thank you for your question. I would check the water line going from the wall that goes into your unit to make sure that is connected. If you are still having problems, please contact one of our product specialists at 1-800-243-0000 for assistance with your unit.

Often the refrigerator doors don't completely close. They look closed but one may be ever so slightly ajar and you can feel cold air coming out, but the door alarm doesn't sound. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Answer:
Don't know why the alarm dosen't come on but you should be more concerned that doors don't close all the way. My model came with a tool to adjust the doors. You need to adjust the doors so they will close properly.

Answer:
When the power is connected to the refrigerator, the door alarm is initially set ON and the light above the door alarm button will be on. When either the refrigerator or the freezer door is left open for more than 60 seconds, the alarm will ding to let you know the door is open. When you close the door, the door alarm will stop dinging. The door alarm can be disabled. If you want to disable the door alarm function, press the alarm button then the light above the alarm button will turn off. If you continue to experience this issue, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Why does my freezer have frost all over?

The ice tray, rack and some of the frozen food is covered with frost. Why is this happening? I have the refrigerator set at 37 degrees and I set the freezer temp back to zero. I had previously set the freezer to 8 degrees. There's also a spot in the back of the freezer near the icemaker that is frosted.

Answer:
You are not closing the freezer door all the way and air is getting in. That causes the frost.

Answer:
Frost in a freezer has a few different possible causes. One could be that something warm was placed in the unit. A second could be that there is an air leak allowing humidity in the unit. If this frost does not dissipate naturally, then you may try defrosting the whole unit, by unplugging it for about 4 hour, drying up all the moisture, and then plugging it in again, and allowing it to reach the correct temperatures before placing anything in the unit. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Answer:
After installing, secure the product with the LEGS so it does not move to the right or left. Your refrigerator has two front leveling legs—one on the right and one on the left. Adjust the legs to alter the tilt from front to back or side to side. If your refrigerator seems unsteady or you want the doors to close more easily, adjust the refrigerator’s tilt using the following instructions: Plug the power cord into a 3-prong grounded outlet, and move the refrigerator into its final position. Remove the kick plate screws and then the kick plate. Open the Freezer Drawer. Once the drawer is open, there is sufficient clearance to remove the screws on top of the kick plate. To replace the kick plate, place it into position, and then insert and tighten the screws. To avoid possible injury or product or property damage, you will need two people to perform the following instructions. Level the refrigerator by using an 11/32 inch (8mm), 11/16 inch (18mm) wrench or a flat blade screw driver. Turn the leveling legs (counter clockwise) to raise or (clockwise) to lower the height of the front of the refrigerator. The front of the refrigerator should be slightly higher than the back. If someone pushes backward against the top of the refrigerator, weight is lifted off of the leveling legs, which makes adjustment easier. Open both doors to make sure they close easily. If not, raise the leveling legs higher by turning both clockwise the same amount. Once the refrigerator is level, replace the kickplate. Your new refrigerator is uniquely designed with two fresh food doors. Either door can be independently opened or closed. You will have to exert slight pressure on the doors to close them completely. In order not to move the refrigerator back and forth, fix it with the 'Adjust' to the floor to install and use. If the space between your doors is uneven, follow the instructions below to align the doors: With one hand, lift up the door you want to raise at middle hinge. With other hand, use pliers to insert snap ring as shown on page 19 of your owner’s manual. Insert additional snap rings until the doors are aligned. Three snap rings are provided with unit.

Answer:
I don't see why you can't turn off the water and disconnect the hose but I can tell you that the ice maker works fine. If there is enough ice in the bin I just turn off the ice maker. When I need more I turn it back on. All ice makers make a sound when the water flows and also when the ice cubes drop. This model makes less noise than my old refrigerator.
