Highly energy efficient
We were looking for a replacement of our ten year old refrigerator which was very noisy. After researching the most energy efficient replacements, the LG LFC25776 seemed to fit our requirements, as it was rated as Tier III Energy Star. It uses exactly half the kilowatt-hours as our previous ten year old refrigerator. The refrigerator and freezer sections are quite roomy. Aside from the high energy efficiency, the best aspect of the refrigerator section are the LED lights that are very bright, illuminating the interior. The compressor is very quiet. Compared to our last refrigerator, that banged and knocked loudly, the LG is extremely quiet. Also, the interior is a high quality with smoothly sliding bins and adjustable glass shelves. The large meat bin at the the bottom is the most useful one, even if it requires that both French doors be open to open it. The refrigerator doors have very thick foam insulation and that keeps door items cold. The temperature settings are displayed on the front of the refrigerator and the settings are accurate. There is a door alarm that is useful and necessary. The freezer section is large with two tub sections, with a nice pill out wire bin above the tubs and a smaller wire one on the door of the freezer that handles small boxes well.
That said, there are a few aspects of the refrigerator and freezer that come up short. The main one is the spacing design of the plastic shelves on the French doors. The door bins are advertised to hold several gallon jugs, which is accurate. However, if more than a couple of gallons are stored in that door, there is no room for tall items on the remaining door bins. Plan B would be to use the main compartment glass shelves, but these are spaced with about 7", 6" and 9", from bottom to top shelf. There is no room for an upright open wine bottle, for instance. Back to Plan A, we keep those in the door bins but with four gallons of milk or water in the bins, there is no room. There are two solutions: keep fewer gallon jugs on the door bins or remove one of the interior glass shelves. We opted for the former since we are not willing to lose that much interior storage space. A better design with more adjustability for the door bins would be a big improvement. The vegetable and fruit bins are not very large. Most weeks, we end up storing half our vegetables on the lowest glass shelf. Another issue is the shape of the exterior handles that dig into our hands. This is not to bad, but a more ergonomic design would be helpful. The freezer section uses a normal incandescent bulb, which seems strange given the extreme energy efficiency in the rest of the unit. Finally, the French doors require a little effort to shut. They do not swing closed but require a firm push. If you forget that push, the door stays ajar and the alarm goes off. While the alarm is loud enough, if you leave the room before the alarm goes off, it could be a problem. I'd recommend that LG come up with a phone app (they do manufacture cell phones, so it should be easy) to notify the user if the door is ajar, or if the internal temperature of the refrigerator rises past some selected limit.
Despite these issues, we recommend the refrigerator and look forward to saving on energy over the coming years.

great interior and exterior
My old refrigerator was 30+ years old and making noises when the compressor came on so decided to search for a new one before the old one "gave up the ghost". Looked at many other brands but really liked the clear glass shelves and veggie/meat bins. Checked out the reliability and quality of the LG's and found very good reviews from customers and store employees. I've had my fridge for about a month now and love it except for a few small things. Found that the veggie bins (although larger than my old ones) are not tall enough to accommodate all the vegetables that I purchase. I love all the door shelves cause that's where all my bottles go so it frees up the main refrigerator space. It's nice having lots of space for regular food items instead of bottles, yogurt containers, etc. taking up that space. Great fridge. Very quiet operation (don't even know it's on). Looks very modern.

I love my LG Refrigerator! There is so much room, it is so well lit and the space makes it easy to keep everything organized so that hungry boys can get what they want to eat and close doors. I have gotten so many compliments from family & friends.

This is a fantastic refrigerator. Great features! Love that it has a digital display for the temps and we Love the LED lights! More room than I even hoped for! Quiet and I love that! I hate being reminded that the door is open for too long, but I am sure glad it is there for those moments where you thought you closed the doors or drawer! I am so satisfied. Worth the great price we paid!
