How do I get the water dispenser to turn off when glass is removed?

Water dispenser will not stop flowing once glass is removed. Also, water dispenser starting shooting out water when no one was around it. The only way to shut it off was to open the door. Finally after a few times of water dispensing on its own randomly, we turned off the water supply from the back. We would hate to lose this feature on our refrigerator, but don't want to ruin the hardwood floor.

Answer:
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is normal for some drops of water to drip after the dispenser button had been released. Simply hold the glass under the dispenser until these few drops are finished. The other symptoms described are not proper operation, and will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. If replacing the bulb did not resolve the matter, then there would seem to be a problem with the switch, wiring, or some other related component. The unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

High Pitched Whine when Freezer Door is closed

We have the LFX29937ST french 3 door refrigerator. We have had it for 3 months. When we close the freezer door, and it locks closed, there is a 5 second high pitched whine that occurs. Is that normal?

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is difficult to determine what this “whine” is unless it is the air pressure equalizing through the internal air ducts. If you believe this to be irregular, then the unit may need to be inspected by a qualified service technician. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Our fridge has started making a very loud vibration noise that seems to be coming from the back of the freezer. My husband is wondering if it is the linear compressor? Also, today our fridge gave an code of F1 and it also said error.

Answer:
The ER IF code is indicative of a problem with the Icemaker Fan or its motor. This can potentially be resolved by allowing the refrigerator to thaw for about 4 hours, and then reconnecting it. If it does not, then the unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
