What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unhappy customer This refrigerator had to be replaced in less than 3 years of use. I am very disappointing with LG appliances as first my stove had to be repaired after a little over 1 year of use and now my refrigerator had to be replaced. Never had I had this happen before with other brands. Now I am stuck with LG appliances and all my kitchen appliances are LG and I don't like mix match.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchased 12/19/14 Freezer fan hitting ice I bought this refrigerator in Dec of 2014. I thought I liked this refrigerator until tonight. I heard a loud pinging noise coming from the kitchen. I opened the freezer drawer and saw that the back of the freezer has iced up. The fan blades are hitting ice. It makes a very loud noise. Very disappointed in a refrigerator that is less than one year old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Appliance The MOST impressive refrigerator we have ever owned. Kitchen was completely remodeled and we choose this refrigerator to compliment the overall new look. The features are smart and energy efficient and easy on the eyes. The convenient outer front door is brilliant and the freezer on the bottom is exactly where it belongs. Easy to clean and easy to reach for anything inside. No noise whatsoever - runs completely silent. Very smart product and great value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Terrible water dispenser I really liked the style of this one in the store. the shelves are good sizes and they move with easy. I had to write this review because I have had this refrigerator for about 6 months now and the worst thing and still is , is the water dispenser. This is the one thing you can not test in a store, if I could of I would not have purchased this model. Every time I have to get water, I am either wiping it off my face or clothes, off the floor or off the front door. It splatters ALL THE TIME. I have changed the water filter thinking that might help but NO! Also, I have to use two hands to dispense water sometime ( one to hold cup and one to press water lever) to make sure it comes on and gets into the cup or bottle. Also the word "water" on the lever is already coming off, 6 months later. I also wish for this amount of money, it would have measured the amount of water coming out, i.e. 1/2 cup or 4 oz., which would extremely help when cooking. The freezer is good size, nice deep bins on bottom. In door feature is good but I'm finding that I could have done with out it. Got it for kids to put thier things however it is not large enough for some bottles and a bit to tall anyway for my 8 year old to reach for top items. I hope this helps someone decision making. Overall, I think a little pricey for number of features or lack there of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from definitely so much better than my old fridge Being a Pastor's Wife, I do a lot of cooking and baking for our church family and this fridge is substantially big. Lighting is very good as well and has a huge storage capacity not to mention the very attractive features. I am very happy with my LG refrigerator

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good looking product but not quality product I have this refrigerator since September 2012 that I bought from Home Depot. Two times the ice maker needed repair as it went down. Now it is making loud blasting noise every hour which can be heard in whole house. I am not satisfied with the quality of this product and not recommending it to buy.

110 volts and 220 volts

Hi, I will be buying this refrigerator soon and the country I am shipping it to is 220v. Do you make it dual voltage or just 220v? If not I am planning in adding 110v panel to my house anyways, but I need to know the watts this refrigerator requires in order to make the right electrical 110 volts grid for my house, since the total wattage consumption of all appliances will be needed to determine the electrical board I need to install. Thank you.
Asked by: Totaltravel
be sure to find out if the unit will work on both 50 & 60hz. voltage is one thing, but the correct frequency is also important. They make converters if you need to run 60HZ on a 50HZ grid. this is also know as cycles.

Folding Shelf

Can the entire folding shelf be removed to make more room for taller items? Or, will removing it not give support to the shelf on the opposite side?
Asked by: JuneBug2
In the LG Super-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator with Door-in-Door™, Model # LFX31945ST, you can store taller items, such as a gallon container or bottles, by simply pushing the front half of the shelf underneath the back half of the shelf. Pull the front of the shelf toward you to return to a full shelf. But you can also pull the entire shelf out in the same way that the other shelves can be pulled out by tilting the front of the shelf up then pulling it straight up and out...^IFV

On LFX31945, what is ERR 1F error???

Asked by: Waltg111
Hi Waltg11. The error code ERR 1F on the LG Super-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator with Door-in-Door™, Model # LFX31945ST refers to the ICE BLOWER FAN. All of the codes that indicate malfunctions or similar problems will be shown with an "Er" on the digital display. The LG refrigerator "Er IF" error code is the "Icemaker Fan Error" message. As the name suggests, this error code indicates a problem with the fan that controls the unit's ice production. If this problem occurs because of ice buildup, unplugging the unit for 3 to 4 hours and allowing it to thaw may fix the issue. Be sure to place towels on the floor to avoid a watery mess due to the thawing. Customer service should be contacted if the problem persists, (800) 243-0000...^IFV

how do i thaw my freezer?

Asked by: Gordita619
Hello Gordita619. The Ice Maker on the LG Super-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator with Door-in-Door™ Model # LFX31945ST has an On/Off switch that you can use when the water supply will be shut off for several hours, when the ice bin is removed for more than one or two minutes, or when the refrigerator will not be used for several days. To thaw the refrigerator itself, you may have to empty all the food within and adjust the temperature, but you will need to be cautious because you may get a watery mess that might damage your property or cause flooding should the water lines rupture. We suggest that you contact our Customer Interactive Center (800) 243-0000 to consult with a product specialist about how to thaw it securely...^IFV

The lights at the bottom of the doors stay on continuously, is this normal?

Asked by: Submariner
This light should activate when the freezer door is open. If the light is on, the freezer door may not be closing properly. Try opening the door to the full length, and then close again, to see if this resolves the matter. If it does not, then you may also attempt to test the door switch, located on the left of the freezer under the guide rail. Otherwise, the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at

how do you adjust refrigerater temperature?

just bought a new frig and is still warm after 5 hours and not getting cold. how do you turn it on?
Asked by: volz
That means it is stuck in the demo mode. OPEN either refrigerator door and hold the fridge temp and the ice plus button for 5 secs or until you hear it kick on.
