What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the space, hate the water dispenser A lot of room in both the refridgerator and freezer. The only thing I do not like is the water/ice dispenser. When you place your glass against the water dispenser, it is curved so that the glass slips off to either side. It is also confusing to guests that have not used it before

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Looking I bought this back in July after searching for over a year. It was the biggest I could find for the limited space I had. It has plenty of room and is very quiet. My only complaint is that this refrigerator is in my vacation home, and as I am not there for months at a time when I leave there is no button or knob to shut the entire unit off. I must pull out the refrigerator from the wall and unplug - which is very annoying. Other than that I am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the versatility! We bought this beautiful refrigerator this summer, and just love having enough space for our groceries. It was a change for us, never having a freezer on the bottom. But I really have so much more space!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my LG 3 door French Door Refrigerator This unit is very spacious for the size due to the storage areas. We love it. The only negative is the color. I had beige before and it did not appear to take over the kitchen as our kitchen is small. The bottom freezer is wonderful as it holds so much more than my side by side old refrigerator/freezer. Just hope it lasts as long as my old refrigerator which was 23 years old and still in excellent condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Refrigerator I recently found myself in need of a new refrigerator after my old one up and died. I had no idea what brand I wanted to buy I just knew that because I live in a mobile home with a limited amount of space for a new fridge that it could not be wider than 34 inches. When I went to the store and the salesman showed me this particular LG model I instantly knew I had to have it. It fits perfectly and has all the features I want and need. I LOVE IT

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LG has definitely improved the french door line We purchased a new french door model that corrects annoying deficiencies of an earlier version: no more freezing temps in vegetable & fruit bins, no more ice jams in ice dispenser, and no wearing out of the french door seals (since the re-design provides a hinged panel that overlaps the inside of each door as it closes). The only nit we have is the longer time required to dispense a water (due to a slower flow rate). Otherwise we are very pleased with the overall performance and functional improvements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent 32 inch replacement refrigerator! Our old built-in 32 inch wide refrigerator had provided many years of faithful service but the automatic ice maker had begun to fail and when I diagnosed the problem online it was determined that the ice maker had to be replaced. In looking at the cost of a replacement ice maker vs. the value of the old refrigerator, it was clear that a new refrigerator had to be considered. In researching refrigerators in Consumer Reports, three facts became apparent: (1) LG was always a top rated brand, (2) 32 inch wide refrigerators were no longer popular in quality refrigeration and (3) LG was one of the few manufactures who still offered a 32 inch refrigerator which meet our functionality requirements. The LG refrigerator was ordered from a local retailer with whom we have dealt for over 40 years. When the refrigerator was delivered, it was discovered that the cabinet above the old refrigerator was installed 1/16 inch to low, which worked for the old refrigerator which was shorter; the new LG was within specifications. Fortunately the cabinet above the refrigerator alcove had some extra wood at the bottom. The cabinet was quickly unscrewed from the wall and using a mini-power saw the extra sliver wood was removed to yield an invisible repair. This was my error as I should have checked the height first. Always check all the dimensions when dealing with old construction! The existing connection to the water line was the 1/4 inch flexible copper pipe which LG recommend in the Owner’s Manual. Fortunately the copper pipe was damaged when the old refrigerator was removed and had to be replaced. When I check the plumbing code for my state, I found that a braded stainless-steel shielded plastic pipe is now legal in many states including New Jersey. Yes, flexible copper pipe is legal in all 50 states but may no longer be the best option. LG should update their Owner’s Manual to include newer plumbing options when legal. When the new LG refrigerator was operational, I was concerned about the small size of the ice maker but these concerns were quickly found to be groundless. Our new LG refrigerator’s ice making capacity is more than adequate for normal use and extra ice can be manufactured and stored in the oversized freezer compartment for large family gatherings. The ergonomic design of the LG refrigerator is a delight and even after two months of service I keep discovering new features. The cold water dispenser is now a must-have and the oversize storage capacity in the doors makes access to frequently needed items much easier. The old refrigerator was always out of capacity, which is no longer a problem with the LG. I would highly recommend an LG refrigerator to anyone.

How do I adjust the refrigerator temp.  Every time o touch refrigerator it decreases

Asked by: Annaparr
Adjusting the Refrigerator section temperature on your LG 24.2 cu.ft. Ultra-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXS24623S should be as straight forward as pressing the 'Refrigerator' button on the control panel then adjusting the temperature accordingly. If the temperature starts going down, try holding the button a while longer to see if it changes the direction that the temperature is going...^IFV

how much clearance do i need for the opening?

I have 24" deep cabinets on the left side and a wall on the right side. i understand that 1/8" clearance is needed on the side with the cabinets, but how much clearance do i need on the right side, where it is against the wall, so that the door (with handle) can open 90 degrees? see image attached. Thank you
Asked by: AMYS74
Amy, I agree with Joel that this French Door will not, ideally, fit your space. But, I'm buying the same LG model for my space which is wall on Left, cabinets on right. I've used a Side by Side for several years in this same space. Sure, I couldn't open my Left Side Freezer door all the way; but I bought that Side by Side because it had all the features I wanted and it was a, much reduced price, Floor Model. I tested this model for exterior measurements, door swing, and drawer glide clearance. Again, this LG model won't, ideally, fit my space. But my left side door, restricted by that wall, will open barely far enough. I've toyed with the idea of moving my current 'fridge forward for door clearance; then installing a cupboard behind the 'fridge to hold vertical objects such as cookie sheets which would slide in from the side. This LG French Door will come close to door and handle clearance for my wall. Ideal would be nice; but I built these cabinets and added quartz counter tops several years later; I'll adapt because I think this LG model is the best fit for my needs. As well, this model gets great reviews in general, is made in this country, and was available quickly to replace the failing 'fridge I'm replacing. Good Luck making your choice!

can the butter dish be removed?

There is not much height for the gallon trays in the door. I don't need a butter dish and would like to remove. (And who needs a butter dish anyway?) Thanks so much.
Asked by: nickname139843
The different trays on the refrigerator door are installed by setting them in place and pressing them downward. As such, press the basket upward from beneath in order to remove them from their location.

Freezer Door

Should the freezer door be locked into place when shut? In other words, should it only be able to open if the door handle is lifted up and pulled? My freezer door can slide freely open without pulling up on the handle. it slid open as I was removing the protective plastic covering! Thank you for the info.
Asked by: mathmama
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this refrigerator. The seal of the freezer door occurs as the internal cold air increases. Typically, the unit has not cooled fully when the plastic layer is being removed. If this turns out to not be the case, then it may require service. How can I get the air filter "Change Filter" light it to stop flashing?

The warning to change the air filter light started flashing so I changed the filter. I followed the instructions in the manual to reset the warning but the warning light continues to flash. It stops every time all the lights shut off on the door but every time I open the door it starts again. I have tried every way I can think of to reset the warning. I have reinstalled the filter several times. Nothing seems to work
Asked by: sadman
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator and its features. When the REPLACE icon turns on, the air filter needs to be replaced. After replacing the air filter, press and hyold the AIR FILTER button for 3 seconds to deactivate the icon light. It is recommended to change this filter approximately every 6 months. If this process has been performed, the filter is clean and installed properly, and it is still giving a warning indication, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at
