Rated 5 out of 5 by TheWindyCity Can One Be in Love with .... a Refrigerator?
When we buy a major appliance, we research the heck out of it before we buy. We visited 4 stores, talked to countless sales reps, and read many reviews on the internet, so we knew what we DID NOT want. We went with this LG based on the good reviews and critical comments about what was most important to us. It's been over a month now, and we are more than pleased with many features of this refrigerator.
1. It is ultra quiet. The compressor is barely heard, the icemaker doesn't exist as far as I know, because you can't even here the ice falling within it.
2. There is no after-drip with the water dispenser, nor the icemaker with after-ice.
3. The door within a door is the most used feature....what a great innovation!
4. The pull out freezer drawer is very well built and solid.
5. The space within both the refrigerator and freezer is remarkable.
So, that being said, if you're a poor guy like me being dragged to all the stores with your wife, trust me on this and go with this LG door within a door. You will get what you pay for in quality of build, and quietness in how it runs and she'll be happy! Happy wife, happy life!

Bought this as part of a total LG remodel of the kitchen. Couldn't be happier with the quality and features of our new fridge. I think that LG will be selling more of these as neighbors and friends who are replacing theirs like this one a lot! The very steady cooling temps are far and above anything that we've ever owned. My ratings are very deserved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Greatful Husband Finally!
After 17 years and 5 kids, we needed a new large capacity refrigerator. I did all the research, read the reviews and looked at way too many units. Finally my wife landed on the L&G to fit our 33 inch opening. Waited until the right price came along and traveled over 900 miles to pick up the new unit. We could not be happier with the quality of this unit. All the features make going to the refrigerator a joy! Cold water, ice at the door, crushed no less! and a chime to remind you that the cold air is escaping! That feature alone has made me less crazy and brought more peace to the house. Bottom line, L&G units are not the cheapest but in this case I feel very strongly that I have gotten more than I paid for!

Rated 4 out of 5 by jsn Great features
The slim space shelves are great for storing beverages. The ice maker is small, so we dump ice from the maker into the first freezer drawer to keep a back up. Not a big fan of the three vegetable drawers - seems harder to fit stuff than in the two drawer version. Would also be nice if the lower frig drawer was split so that you could open one half with just one door open. Seems like a quality refrigerator. It fits in a space that won't fit a regular 36" but it is very deep. Also love the push-back shelf feature - makes it easier to keep big bottles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mr. Cold Hand It work great for 2 years and 2 months...
We liked this refrigerator a lot - but then just after two years the ice maker broke. Who has the time or wants to spend more money on a basically new refrigerator, the door just before the ice comes out into your glass will not open, we have to reach under with our hands and open it.
Two years and it is broke, I'm not happy at all with the Quality of this my first LG product.
It's the French 4 door model, looks great, this ice thing ruins the whole experience.

Lots of room. I get a lot of compliments from friends. We had limited space and this fits perfectly! I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThomKat A lot of space in a little space
Wanted French doors to accommodate large items, but hadn't been able to find one to fit in the 32+ inches available. This does it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NORMAJEAN let me tell you 'what is NOT to like!"
this refrigerator has a terrible flaw! when you close the left door, there should be a magnet that catches and holds it closed, and there is NOT! it does not lock, and it has to be shut properly, before the right side, will close and lock itself properly!!! it is awful to have to reopen the right side , in order to shut the left side, and IF YOU DO NOT: THE BEEPER STARTS BEEPING LOUDLY, and drives you CRAZY, UNTIL YOU COME BACK AND close the whole think RIGHT!!!! This thing drives me NUTS Every Single Day of the week/every YEAR!!! - I HATE IT!!! ~ THIS MESSAGE IS APPROVED by me; n-J-b!!!
