What People Are Saying

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 115 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features My refrigerator went out of order after 10 years of service, this is my first LG product which is stainless steel refrigerator,I only had my new LG refrigerator for 2 weeks, and I can't stop looking at it, this product is great and I hope it give me lots service years, once I finish paying for it, I plan to buy a LG stainless steel stove. Keep up the good work LG!!!. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product looks great and is a work horse. My old refrigerator was over 25 years old and using tons of energy. I had some remodel work done in my kitchen and also purchased my new LG refrigerator; I AM IN LOVE. It looks good and my food is COLD not just cool as it was with my old refrigerator. The saving in energy cost is wonderful, (I like). This refrigerator is very easy to use, i.e. shelf spacing, door shelving, lighting, all is just right. LG you did good! July 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product What's not to like? Quite, more than enough room, nice style. No problem what so ever with doors coming open, as others have said! July 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great looking fridge Wife loves the fridge. Lots of room and plenty of lighting with the led. July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just the right size We looked everywhere for a refrigerator that would fit, found it. Quality and we love it. It is my favorite appliance, although I love my LG Gas stove too. I like LG June 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Refrigerator I bought this LG top freezer refrigerator to replace a dead Maytag one. It seems a lot larger even though it's only a couple of cubic feet bigger. The shelves are nice and fit my needs. One of the features I wanted in my new refrigerator was a light in the freezer and separate temperature controls for the refrigerator and freezer sections. This model fit the bill. In the showroom, the LED lights made the refrigerator look nice and bright inside. Once filled with food and beverages, however, there's not enough light in the refrigerator section. A strip of lights in the back of the section or on the top would help make the items in the back more visible. I hope LG listens to these complaints and improves this in future models. Another feature I wanted was energy efficiency. This model is rated very good. The door hangs lowers than the one on my old refrigerator did. Watch your feet when opening it. June 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome fridge! This fridge is awesome for the price! We replaced a stainless steel side by side with this one, and we are so happy with the purchase! There is tons of room in the fridge and freezer, and the lights inside make it look space-age! It's wonderful! June 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by We love it! After a few trips to appliance stores and a few hours researching online we chose this one and so far I'm glad we did. This refrigerator is very spacious and we dig the led lights on both sides. Ice maker is a plus since we didn't have one prior. Our old refrigerator was about 15 years old, noisy and it never stopped running. This one is quiet and energy efficient and I was able to notice that in my first electric bill after purchase. I couldn't believe it. ~ty June 7, 2014

I see they are made of clear plastic. Do they crack or break easily? How much total weight does each shelf hold?

Answer:
I don't know exact weight they hold but they seem to be quite sturdy. I have them loaded with condiments and jars and haven't had a problem yet (granted I've had the fridge for about a month now)

Answer:
Leave some room If you ever want to remove the drawers, especially the wide pantry drawer. I left about 2", that combined with the fact that it doesn't have handles allows the door to open far enough past 90*

Answer:
None if you only want it to open up to 90°. The doors are mounted on an extension plate so they will open in the same space that the refrigerator body takes. If you want to open them much more than 90°, then you will need more room.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator. It is recommended to allow 2” of extra spacing between all sides of the unit and the surrounding sides: back, sides and above. This will allow proper ventilation as well as room for the doors to open.

What is the finish like on the side of this refrigerator? Smooth or textured? And what is the color? Both sides of the 'fridge will show in my application (not just the door). Hoping beyond hope that all three sides of the thing are SS. I am attaching a picture. Are the sides like in the picture? Thanks

Answer:
You only have to hook up the water if you want the ice maker to work. So no, you don't have to hook it up if you don't have a connection already in place. The fridge will still run properly.
