DISCOVER THE LG SMART LAUNDRY APP

Your LG washer is a highly advanced machine—and with the LG Smart Laundry & DW app, you can easily interact with it to help diagnose any problems. The first step to using this great feature is to download the free app:

NOTE: the LG Smart Diagnosis™ app is only available for phones running the Android operating system. It is not available for iPhones.

TROUBLESHOOT YOUR WASHER

If you run into a problem with your LG washer, our latest technology can help you solve it quickly and painlessly. You can either use the Smart Diagnosis™ feature on your LG Smart Laundry & DW app or contact an LG representative who'll help you use this feature over the phone.

SMART DIAGNOSIS™

You can diagnose your washer's problem with Smart Diagnosis™ technology. It records and analyzes the special tones emitted by your washer and provides you with troubleshooting steps. You can also contact us for some help with the process.

SMART DIAGNOSIS™ ON YOUR APP

  1. Open the Smart Laundry app on your phone. Select "General Model" and then choose Smart Diagnosis™.
  2. Press the POWER to turn on the washer.
  3. Place the mouthpiece of your phone no more than 1" away from the POWER button (but not touching the machine).
  4. Press and hold the WARM WATER button for three seconds, while holding the phone mouthpiece to the POWER button.
  5. Keep the phone in place until you hear three beeps. After you hear the beeps, release the WARM WATER button. This takes about 3 seconds, and the display will count down the time.
  6. Follow the troubleshooting guide displayed by the Smart Diagnosis™ app.

SMART DIAGNOSIS OVER THE PHONE

  1. Contact LG Customer Service at 1-800-243-0000 (1-888-542-2623 in Canada).
  2. When prompted, press the POWER to turn on the washer.
  3. When prompted, place the mouthpiece of your phone no more than 1" away from the POWER button (but not touching the machine).
  4. Press and hold the WARM WATER button for three seconds, while holding the phone mouthpiece to the POWER button.
  5. Keep the phone in place until you hear three beeps. After you hear the beeps, release the WARM WATER button. This takes about 3 seconds, and the display will count down the time.
  6. Once the countdown is over and the tones have stopped, resume your conversation with the LG Support Representative, who will then be able to assist you using the information transmitted for analysis at the call center.
