Specialty Cycles Overview

With your new washer is a whole new world of laundry possibilities. Here you'll find everything you need to know about specialty cycles that elevate your laundry care and care for your clothes so they last longer.*

COTTON/NORMAL

You'll probably use this cycle a lot as it's good for everyday items like jeans, towels, shirts, sheets and mixed loads. And, of course, clothes made of cotton.

TurboWash™ is the default setting for this cycle to save you time while still providing an outstanding wash. TurboWash is automatically deselected if you add the Steam option for a powerful, yet gentle clean.

Heavy Duty

Use for heavily soiled cotton fabrics.

BULKY/BEDDING

Use this cycle for large items like blankets, comforter, pillows, and other items that have difficult absorbing water. Make sure there is plenty of room for the load to move during washing. Don't mix with smaller clothing items.

Bright Whites™

This cycle was designed especially for what it describes: to wash and maintain bright white fabrics.

You can save time on this cycle by adding the TurboWash™ option or you can add the Steam option for a powerful, yet gentle clean. (The two options cannot be used simultaneously.)

Sanitary

When it comes to work clothes, baby diapers or heavily soiled garments, this cycle is just what you're looking for. It uses extreme temperature changes–extra hot during the wash, cold during the rinse–to clean the dirtiest clothing items in the house.

You can save time on this cycle by adding the TurboWash™ option or you can add the Steam option for a powerful, yet gentle clean. (The two options cannot be used simultaneously.)

Allergiene™

This specialty cycle helps cut out the sniffles: it uses the intense heat of steam to remove over 95% of common household allergens, like dust mites and pet dander. Use it to wash things that accumulate dust–like pillow covers, and bed sheets–or with items that deserve special care–like baby clothes and undergarments.

The Allergiene™ cycle automatically incorporates the Steam option.

Tub Clean

Using the washing machine in a humid space for a long period of time can lead to a buildup of mold and germs in the air inside the washer tub. However, you can use the TUB CLEAN cycle on a monthly basis. Even if your washer is not located in a humid space, it's recommended that you use this cycle on a monthly basis for the freshest results.

You can add the Steam option to this cycle for a powerful, yet gentle clean.

Perm Press

This cycle is great for minimizing wrinkles. Use if for dress shirts and pants, wrinkle-free clothing, poly/cotton blend clothing, and tablecloths.

You can save time on this cycle by adding the TurboWash™ option.

Power Cleanse

This cycle provides high rinse efficiency through the increased use of water. Use as needed for towels, shirts, sheets, jeans, and mixed loads.

SpeedWash™

If you don't have time to wait around, now you have the SpeedWash™ cycle. Great for lightly soiled clothing and small loads, this cycle can have clothes clean and fresh faster than a normal cycle. For high wash-and-rinse efficiency, use this for loads of 2-3 lightly soiled garments.

TurboWash™ is the default setting for this cycle to help you save time.

Wool

This cycle is for washing shrinkable woolen or hand-washable items requiring delicate care. Only wash woolen items that are labeled machine washable or hand-washable.

Use this cycle for dresses, shirts, blouses, nylons, and any sheer or lacy garments.
