LG Range – Why is My Electric Cooktop Not Heating?

If you feel that your LG oven range is undercooking, overcooking, or not heating, here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve some of the performance issues before calling for service.

Try This

  1. Is the issue affecting all elements, one element, or part of a dual or triple element?

    All Elements One Element or More (But Not All) Dual or Triple Element Induction Cooktop
  2. To Resolve:

    1Confirm the unit is fully connected to the power supply.

    2Turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

    3Power on an element and set it to the highest setting.

    4If the problem continues, the unit will require service. Please visit our Request a Repair page to schedule service.

  3. To Resolve:

    1Turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

    2Power on the affected element(s) and set to the highest setting.

    3If the problem continues, the unit will require service. Please visit our Request a Repair page to schedule service.

  4. To Resolve:

    1Ensure the knob is set to the correct position for proper heating.

    2Turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

    Dual Element

    • Push in the appropriate knob.
    • Turn the knob clockwise to use it as a Dual unit.

    Triple Element

    • Push in the appropriate knob.
    • - Turn the knob clockwise to the Triple position to use as a Triple element.

    3Power on the element to the desired setting and set it to the highest setting.

    4If the problem continues, the unit will require service. Please visit our Request a Repair page to schedule service.
