LG NEXUS DEVICE RESET

LG NEXUS FACTORY RESET

To reset you Nexus 4 to factory settings, please follow these steps:

Note: By performing a factory data reset, All Data Will Be Wiped From The Device. While any data stored in your Google Account will be restored, all apps and their associated data will be uninstalled.

Note: Some Settings, Menus, or Icons may differ from that of your device, this article should only be used as a general reference.


Factory Reset using software

  1. From the Home Screen, tap Apps  icon > Settings  icon > Backup & reset  icon

  2. Tap Factory data reset, then tap Reset phone.

Note: If your phone is password protected, you'll be prompted to enter your Pattern, PIN, or Password.

  1. Touch Erase everything to confirm. Your device will reset to factory settings.

Factory Reset using physical buttons

  1. Power off your phone.

  2. Press and hold Volume Down, and then press the Power button until the device turns on (while still pressing Volume Down). You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.

  3. Press Volume Down twice to designate Recovery mode.

  4. Press the Power button to restart into Recovery mode. You will see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark.

  5. While holding down the Power button, press and release Volume Up.

  6. Use the volume keys to scroll to wipe data/factory reset and press the Power button to select it.

  7. Scroll down to Yes - erase all user data and press the Power button to select it. Your device will reset to factory settings.

    Note: If at any point during the above steps your phone becomes unresponsive, you can restart it by holding down the Power button for several seconds.
