LG Washer / Dryer Combo – Troubleshooting Poor Drying

At a Glance

LG combo units dry laundry using a condensing drying method. Poor drying can be caused by inadequate water supply, a clogged drain filter, or load size.

Try This

  1. Check the inlet valves and water hoses.

Ensure the water valve is fully opened and the hoses are not kinked or bent.

  2. Clean the drain filter.

1 Open the cover at the lower left side of the front, you will see a large cap and the residual water hose. (Some models have the service cover on the right side).
Prepare a mop or basin to prevent the floor from getting wet.

2 Hold the residual water hose, pull it forward to open the cap. Remove the cap and drain the water.
Collect the residual water using the prepared basin.
While the cap is open, keep holding the hose and do not let it slip.

3 Turn the large cap next to the hose to the left, and disassemble and clean the filter.

4 Clean the filter with running water to remove foreign objects, and reassemble the filter.

5 When no more water comes out, close the cap again and reinsert it into its position.
(Make sure to close the large cap to prevent leakage. Insert the residual water hose cap as well).

    6 Close the service cover.
