  1. From the Home screen, tap the Messaging  or  .

  2. Tap  or  to create a new message.

  3. Enter a contact name or phone number in the To field. As you type a contact name from matching contacts appear. You can tap a suggested contact to enter the information.

  1. Tap the text field and start entering your message. Tap  to attach media to your message (image, video, etc.).

  2. Tap Send to send your message.

    1. Home Screen, tap Apps  > Settings  > Sound & notification tab

    2. Tap Notification sound and select a new sound from the list by tapping the sound name OR tap the Plus icon  at the top right of the screen and tap the file to select and set as your notification sound. Only compatible files will display.

    3. Tap OK to set the notification.

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps  > Messaging

    2. Tap and hold on the message thread you want to delete, then select Delete.

    OR

    1. From the message thread view, tap the Menu  button, then select Delete.

    2. Checkmark the threads you want to delete, then select Delete.

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps  > Messaging

    2. Tap the message thread that contains the message to be deleted.

    3. Tap and hold on the individual message, then select Delete.

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps  > Messaging

    2. Tap the message thread that contains the media to be deleted.

    3. Tap and hold on the media, then select Delete.

    Note: You may need to tap and hold on the box containing the media to be deleted depending on your version of software

    1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > Settings  > Default message app icon (may be found under General Tab)

    2. Select a default messaging app from the list. A prompt will display when selecting an app other than Messaging. Tap Yes to confirm.
