Properly managing memory can help improve tablet performance and help reduce battery usage. You can use a USB cable to transfer music, pictures, and other files from your tablet to a computer and vice versa.
If the internal storage on your device reaches its capacity, stability and performance may be impacted. Approximately 20% of your System memory is reserved to maintain stability and performance.
From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Storage
Observe which area is consuming your memory. In this example, Apps and Pictures, videos would be a good area to focus on removing or transferring content to increase available memory.
Remove content to increase available memory.
Restart the device to clear any low memory notification(s).
Confirm no applications are running in the background. Background tasks may cause significant battery drain, and may impact system stability. The device may appear to have reduced performance when many apps are open. This is due to limited amount of available RAM and is normal behavior for most all devices.
From the Home screen, tap Recent apps button
- Swipe left or right to clear an application(s). This frees up available memory.
