Ringtones purchased from your carrier or third party sellers can only be downloaded and saved to a microSD card installed in your phone. These files may be stored in different locations on the microSD card such as \Ringtone or \Media.

To copy purchased/downloaded ringtones from your microSD to a computer

1. From the Home Screen, tap Apps  > Settings > SD card & phone storage

2. Checkmark Mass storage only to enable your computer to read your microSD card (your phone will act as a memory card reader).

3. Connect your phone to the USB port on your computer.

4. Tap Turn on USB storage and press OK. Your device is now ready to transfer files.

5. On your computer, navigate to your phone and open the folder where the ringtones are saved. You may need to try opening different folders to find your ringtones (try \Ringtone or \Media).
  • For PC - Go to My Computer > Phone micro SD (may display as Removable Disk).
  • For MAC - Go to Devices > Phone micro SD (may display as Hard drive or Disk).
Note: Both the internal memory and microSD card will be visible on the computer as separate drives. The internal memory of your device is 6 gigabytes (use this to help differentiate between the drives).

6. Select the ringtone(s) you want to copy, then save to your computer.
  • For PC - Right Mouse Click on the ringtone(s) and select Copy, select a folder on your computer to save to, Right Mouse Click in the new folder and select Paste.
  • For MAC - Hold down the Ctrl key then mouse click on the ringtone(s) and select Copy, select a folder on your computer to save to, Hold down the Ctrl key then mouse click and select Paste in the new folder.
Note: To copy ringtone(s) without keeping the original on your microSD card, select Cut instead of Copy.

7. When finished copying files, tap Turn off USB storage on your phone and disconnect the USB cable.
