LG G FLEX LS995 LG BACKUP

With the Backup application preloaded on your smartphone, you can backup and restore most of your smart phone data, including downloaded and pre-installed applications, bookmarks, calendar entries, call logs, contacts, home screen settings, messages, and system settings. You may also:

  • Perform a manual backup of your smartphone data.
  • Schedule automatic backups of your smartphone data.
  • Restore your smartphone data.

Note: The first time you run an LG Application like LG Backup, you will be prompted with the LG apps rights agreement.  To use these applications you need to accept both the End User License Agreement and Privacy policy.


  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > LG Backup

  2. Tap Backup  , checkmark  the items you would like to backup, and tap Next.

  3. Internal storage will be selected for you to store your backup. Checkmark  Use the lock when creating backup file if you would like to set a password for your backup file.

Note: The next page will notify you that your backup (and all files) will be deleted from your phone after a factory data reset. Copy your backup file to a PC before performing a factory data rest.

  1. Tap Start to continue, and tap Done when backup is completed.

Note: Your backup (and all files) will be deleted from your phone after a fafctory data reset. Before a factory data reset, you will need to move/copy the backup files to a PC.

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using a MicroUSB cable (you may use the cable attached to your LG charger).

  2. Once connected, you may be prompted on your phone to select a USB connection type. Select Media sync (MTP).

  3. On the PC, open My computer/Computer > My LG Mobile > Internal storage > LGBackup.

  4. Right click on the backup file ending with .lbf. Then select Copy.

  5. Select a location on the PC to save the file. Right click your mouse in that location and select Paste to save the backup file to your PC.

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using a MicroUSB cable (you may use the cable attached to your LG charger).

  2. Once connected, you may be prompted on your phone to select a USB connection type. Select Media sync (MTP).

  3. On the PC, right click your mouse on the backup file ending with .lbf that you previously saved onto your PC. Then select Copy.

  4. Open My computer/Computer > My LG Mobile > Internal storage > LGBackup.

  5. Right click your mouse in that location and select Paste to save the backup file to your phone.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > LG Backup

  2. Tap File restore & management

  3. Select the file from the Backup list that contains the data you wish to restore.

  4. Checkmark  the item(s) you wish to restore. Tap the arrow  to expand each section and select individual items to restore. Tap Next to continue.

Note: The next page will notify you that the data currently on your phone will be deleted and replaced with data on Internal storage. Once deleted, data currently on phone cannot be restored.

Battery level must be above 30% to begin restore. We recommend leaving the device on a charger while restoring.

  1. Tap Start to continue with restoration. Your phone will automatically reboot when completed.

    Caution: Once started, restoration cannot be cancelled. During restoration, phone will go into airplane mode. Some features and front keys of the phone will be limited.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps  > LG Backup

  2. Tap Scheduled backup

  3. Tap Backup items, checkmark   the items you want to backup, and tap Done.

  4. Tap Backup time, select the time and repeat options, and tap Done.

  5. Tap Scheduled backup files and select the number of backup files to store.

  6. Checkmark  Use the lock when creating backup file and follow the prompts to enter a password.

  7. Tap Scheduled backup switch  to enable scheduled backup options you have selected.
