Your Bluetooth headset reads out the caller's information of an incoming call if you press the Bluetooth volume key. This feature does not require any additional settings.
Note: If the LG Bluetooth headset supports this feature, a popup shows the message one time in the initial pairing.
To Use the Feature:
With the Bluetooth paired and active, press the Volume key up or down on the headset when you receive a call
- If the caller is saved in your contacts, the caller's name is announced through the Bluetooth headset.
- If the caller is not saved in your contacts, then caller's phone number is announced through the Bluetooth headset.
When you pair your headset to your phone for the first time, this feature is explained in a popup if you have an eligible Bluetooth headset model.
This feature works regardless of the Message/call voice notifications setting. To access this setting, from the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Sound > Message/call voice notifications.
Tap switch ON to enable.
Generally, this feature is available with LG Bluetooth headset models starting with “LG HB” like the popular line of Tone headsets, LG HBS-730, LG HBS-750, or LG HBS-800 and products launched in 2012 or later. Some exceptions: Bluetooth model number HBM-500 supports the feature. Bluetooth model numbers LG HBM-235, LG HBM-750, LG HBM-755 does not support this feature.
